Significant Issues
Ambushed Weapon Omega, fled upon Alpha Flight’s arrival (Alpha Flight #114-115, 1992-1993); ambushed Weapon Omega during his battle with Rok, learned of Omega’s humanity, forsook mission (Alpha Flight #116-117, 1993); held in custody at Department H (Alpha Flight #118, 1993); defended helpless Manikin from Hardliners (Alpha Flight #119-120, 1993); aided in opposing demonized Witchfire (Alpha Flight #122-124, 1993); joined ad-hoc Alpha Flight team against Carcass (Alpha Flight #125-126, 1993); with Alpha Flight, vs Hardliners & Master’s Omega Flight, Alpha Flight disbanded (Alpha Flight #128-130, 1994)

Genetically enhanced and implanted with synthetic wires under unrevealed circumstances, Wyre served as master assassin to the insurrectionist Secret Empire roughly 15 years ago. His enhanced DNA was used to create the Breed, a group of savage warriors with enhanced feral abilities. Wyre proudly trained the Breed until realizing the horror they were becoming, at which point he slaughtered the Breed, demolished the facility and set out to slay those who escaped. Wyre also encountered Weapon X agents such as Garrison Kane and Wolverine. One of the surviving Breed went on to become Alpha Flight's Wild Child (later Weapon Omega). Wyre targeted Weapon Omega, the last Breed survivor in recent years, but was ultimately convinced of Omega's humanity and abandoned his quest. After escaping imprisonment, Wyre - rather than fleeing - saved Alpha trainee Manikin from the anti-vigilante Hardliners while the rest of Alpha Flight was away, and he was granted freedom. Seeking redemption, Wyre aided Alpha Flight against a demonized Witchfire, then joined them against the demon Carcass, another assault by the Hardliners, and the Master of the World and his Omega Flight. Wyre's whereabouts following Alpha Flight's disbanding by the Canadian government are unrevealed.
