Dazzler can transduce sonic vibrations into various types of light. Dazzler prefers utilizing music, particularly that which is rhythmically sustained, but cannot use the sound of her own unamplified voice. Dazzler can generate illumination, create realistic holograms, emit pulses or strobes to blind or disorient others, and fire laser-like cutting beams or "solid photon" concussive force beams. She is immune to the harmful effects of bright lights and loud noise.
Abilities
Dazzler is a highly skilled athlete and roller skater, a good hand-to-hand combatant, and a talented singer, actress, and dancer.

In an alternate universe where Cable and the New Mutants were at war with the X-Men, Cable killed Professor X, Cyclops, and Marvel Girl. Dazzler, one of the X-Men, was a member of Wolverine's X-Men team, that defeated Cable. In the midst of anti-mutant chaos across the country, Magneto took over control of the White House. As human-mutant relations deteriorated, the former President of the United States activated Project: Wideawake, launching mutant-killing robots. Dazzler became an agent of Magneto to protect herself against the Sentinels and anti-mutant mobs. However, she she was killed when Magneto accidentally detonated a nuclear warhead carried by a Sentinel.
