M-Body

The Living Fractals are a species that reside in the Dimension of Manifestations and is capable of shaping themselves in an infinite manner. They served as M-Bodies for the abstract beings of the omniverse that had no physical forms. See: Anomaly, Death, Epoch, Eternity, the In-Betweener, Infinity, Kronos, the Living Tribunal, Lord Chaos, Master Order, Mistress Love, Sire Hate, Oblivion. Non-abstract beings that have employed M-Bodies include the Celestials, Galactus, the Gardener, Mephisto, the Stranger, Jack of Hearts, Moondragon, Photon (Monica Rambeau), Quasar, Starfox, Thor and Tigra of the Avengers

Event, wherein the Scarlet Witch removed the powers of most of the Earth's mutant population.

magic

The art, science, and practice of utilizing certain universal energies whose nature is beyond the scope of the technologically-oriented science of all known sentient races.

mambo

Female priest who practices voodoo.

Mandroid

Battle armor designed by Tony Stark for use by S.H.I.E.L.D.

mass accruing

The process by which an organism who decreases in size and weight extends bodily mass extradimensionally.

megaverse

Group of alternate universes which is larger than a multiverse, encompassing realities with a certain closeness, such as all those associated with Marvel.

Merged Earth

Two alternate Earths which have been merged into a single world.

metamorph

A being who can physically change shape and appearance. If the transformation requires the addition or subtraction of mass, the mass accruing or mass shunting process is involved. Also called polymorph.

Mhuruuks

Mhuruuks (Wizards) in the Dark Dimension, most of them were slain by Dormammu.

microverse

A parallel universe that can be reached from the Earth dimension by compressing one's own mass to a certain point, thereby forcing it through an artificially created nexus into the other universe. Microverses were once erroneously believed to exist within atoms.

micro-world

A world existing within parallel universe known as microverse. Micro-worlds were once erroneously believed to exist on subatomic particles.

molybdenum

A naturally-occurring silvery-white metal frequently used by the aerospace industry. Molybdenum's high strength and heat-resistance make it ideal for use in various alloys.

morphing

Morphing describes the ability to alter one’s physical appearance to resemble others (f.e. Chameleon, Changeling, Copycat, Courier, Ditto, Ferocia, Hobgoblin (Shifter), Hulkling, Lyja, Morph, Mystique, Stuff, Super-Skrull) with the further classification of animal morphing. There even exist some races with the racial ability to morph: Skrulls, Space Phantoms and Dire Wraiths.

Mount Olympus

Home to the Greek and Roman gods perched on top of the Olympus mountain range in Greece.

multiverse

(1) A group of universes which are in some way related.

(2) The Multiverse is the collection of alternate dimensions with a similar nature and universal hierarchy. Earth-616 and the vast bulk of the alternate Earths in the Marvel Universe (which include beings like the Uatu the Watcher, Eternity, etc.) are within the same Multiverse. The myriad realms of Earth-616's Multiverse are overseen by the Living Tribunal. Those realms that lack this hierarchy of power are outside of the Multiverse, but within the larger Omniverse. Further, the realms with a multiverse are divided into divergent Earths, who share a common history and all diverged at a specific point, and alternate Earths, who are similar, but possess many inherent differences.

mutagenic

Something capable of making cellular-level changes in a living organism.

mutant

A being who was born with physical characteristics not possessed by either of its parents.

mutate

A being who acquires a physical characteristic through exposure to a mutagenic agent such as certain chemicals or radiation. All superhumans who were not born with their superhuman powers are mutates.

mutation

The process or result of a cellular-level change in a living organism. A good mutation is one that benefits the organism in some way, such as the acquisition of a spare heart, Increased cerebral capacity, or a superhuman ability. A bad mutation is one that impairs the organism in some way, such as a deformity. Many special traits or powers are the result of a body-wide series of good mutations, not just the mutation of single cell.

mystic

Person who seeks spiritual truths of experiences. *See Modred the Mystic

mystic arts

Relating to or based on intuition, contemplation, or meditation of a spiritual nature, normally considered to be the study of magic, arcane and the occult. *See Darklore, Dormammu, Doctor Strange, Baron Mordo, Modred the Mystic, Salomé, Umar and Vera Gemini

mystical

Having a spiritual reality or import not apparent to the intelligence or senses. Of or relating to mystic rites or practices.
