Shouting out commands to keep everyone on the same page, he was solely responsible for defeating the [[Hulk (Bruce Banner)|Hulk]] when he activated the robot's Somna-Gas, putting the Hulk to sleep. An unforeseen accident which compromised the containment unit carrying the Hulk allowed the sleeping agent to disperse and the Hulk to awaken. Head Man was instantly rattled by the man-brute's rage and wasn't able to act fast enough before Hulk jammed the mechanism in the Quintronic Man's chest for dispensing the Somna-Gas. With nowhere to go, the gas filled each pilot's pod, effectively putting them to sleep. The Quintronic Man was undone and buried beneath a building.
