Khet was the dog like Familiar of the Death god, Anubis. He was emissary to the Palace of Death and Rebirth. Khet appeared before the Living Mummy when he used the Orb of Ra to summon Nephrus, in an attempt to be released of his curse of life. Khet commanded the Mummy to release Nephrus for there could be only one lord in the Place of Death and Rebirth, his lord and master Anubis.
