Newell, Walter (Age of Apocalypse)

Captain Walter Newell was the commander of the submarine called "Excalibur" which brought refugees to Avalon through the Infernal Gallop. On one journey Nightcrawler was one of the many refugees who were traveling to Avalon. During the journey the submarines air conditioning unit broke, in turn Walter was forced to surface the sub. While on the surface another ship arrived and its Captain, Callisto offered to take the passengers to Avalon. Newell agreed and parted ways.
