Before he started his career as a criminal mastermind, Leland Owlsley (The Owl) was a somewhat successful financial investor, until his criminal ties were exposed by the IRS. While occasionally clashing with Kingpin over territories, he also deals with Daredevil on a regular basis. Recently, the Owl has re-established his hold on the criminal underworld through distributing Mutant Growth Hormones, until he was arrested by Daredevil.
