bio_text= Psyche was once a mortal in Sicily, it is said that she was so beautiful, that she caused mortal men to waver in their worship of the goddess [[Venus]]. Seeking to punish Psyche, Venus sent [[Cupid]] to Earth to used his powers to influence her to fall in love with an unsavory suitor. However, Cupid mesmerized by her uncanny wiles, fell in love with Psyche. They eventually married, and lived happily until Psyche died. Seeking to be with his bride forever Cupid, approached [[Zeus]] and begged him to grant the mortal immortality. Zeus eventually apotheosized her and Psyche became known as the goddess of fidelity and passion. <br />
