While imprisoned on the Shi’ar mineworld of Alisbar, Raza was instrumental in forming the Starjammers; the group consisted of the earthling Christopher Summers who along with his wife had been abducted from Earth by a Shi’ar zoological expedition team, the strange female Mephitisoid, Hepzibah and the Saurid, Ch'od. Raza was a cybernetic enhanced being partly living flesh and partly machine. He speaks in an archaic form of old English, which can be both an annoyance and a source of amusement to his allies.
