Reaper lost his mutant powers in the events of M-Day. However, he exposed himself to the Terrigen Mists and regained some of his abilities he received from the Weapon X upgrades. The powers were unstable and begane to burn him from the inside out so Abyss hid him in th Brimstone Dimension along with himself and Fatale in the hopes that this would stop their malfunctioning powers
