bio_text= Professor Chase was a resident of an alternate universe known as [[Marvel Zombies (Earth-2149)|Earth-2149]] or better yet as the Zombievers which became infected by a virus that transformed many superhuman beings, into flesh-eating zombie-like creatures that retained their intelligence. Professor Chase encountered dimensional travelers [[Deadpool (Wade Wilson)|Deadpool]] (Wade Wilson, Earth-616), [[Swanson, Betty|Doctor Betty]] and [[Bill (Unrevealed)|Bill]] Agent of [[A.I.M.]] who were trying to return the head of [[Deadpool (Earth-2149) |Deadpool]] (Headpool, Earth-2149) to his original reality. Professor Chase sent Deadpool (Earth-616) out to retrieve an infected superhuman specimen in order to test her serum for the zombie virus. Deadpool was successful in his mission capturing zombiefied [[Cypher (Earth-2419)|Cypher]] and Professor gave him a passionate reward as means of showing her gratitude for his accomplishment. While escorting Deadpool and his friends back to the portal that would take them back to their dimension, Professor Chase and company were confronted by the zombiefied [[Absorbing Man (Earth-2149)|Absorbing Man]], [[Aguila (Earth-2149)|Aguila]] and [[Armadillo (Earth-2149)|Armadillo]] who were defeated by Deadpool. Professor Chase was later infected by the Absorbing Man and eventually pushed off of a roof by Dr. Swanson, leaving her body splattered on the concrete.

bio_text = "Justice is served!" This signature phrase of the Scourge of the Underworld would strike fear in the hearts of super criminals throughout the nation, as it signaled that yet another super-villain was killed by a mysterious vigilante.

It was first uttered upon the assassination of the criminal [[Enforcer]], when a homeless lady interrupted the Enforcer’s own mission to assassinate the [[Termite]], surprisingly and suddenly striking him down. One by one, other costumed super-villains were murdered. The [[Miracle Man]] was killed by a man riding a bus, the android [[Hate-Monger (android)|Hate-Monger]] was shot by a pedestrian, [[Megatek]] was murdered by another homeless person, and the [[Melter (Bruno Horgan)|Melter]] was killed by a man posing as his assistant . . . nowhere seemed safe as the Scourge appeared in different guises, revealing himself only after shooting his victim. In fact, a female pro-wrestler, [[Caprice|Golddigger]], revealed herself as the Scourge, shooting an unsuspecting [[Titania (Davida DeVito)|Titania]] while she showered. A male nurse shot at the [[Constrictor]], who survived, but a construction worker shot dead the [[Basilisk (Basil Elks)|Basilisk]], a Native American shot [[Hammer (Leroy Jackson)|Hammer]] and [[Anvil (John Anvil)|Anvil]], and the [[Fly]] was shot by a garbage man, the [[Wraith (Brain DeWolff)|Wraith]] by a police officer. More murders: the [[Death Adder]] was killed by a cab driver, [[Blue Streak]] by a truck driver, both after fleeing a battle with [[Captain America (Steve Rogers)|Captain America]]. And after each hit, the phrase "justice is served!"

The most significant hit of the Scourge was the mass-murder of eighteen super-villains at the [["Bar With No Name"]], a hang-out for costumed villains. The villains had assembled to discuss what should be done about the Scourge. Before they could continue, however, the villains were cut down by the bartender, who was nothing less that the Scourge himself. Among the villains shot: [[Bird-Man (Achilles DiBacco)|Bird-Man]], [[Cheetah]], [[Commander Kraken]], [[Cyclone (unrevealed)|Cyclone]], [[Jaguar|El Jaguar]], [[Grappler]], [[Firebrand (Gary Gilbert)|Firebrand]], [[Hell-Razor]], [[Hi-Jacker]], [[Letha]], [[Mind-Wave]], [[Mirage (Desmond Charne)|Mirage]], [[Rapier]], [[Switchback|Ringer]], [[Shell-Shock]], [[Steeplejack]], [[Turner D. Century]] and the [[Vamp]].

The [[Aqueduct|Water Wizard]] was particularly distraught at the massacre, one he missed by arriving late, and he sought out Captain America for help. Captain America disguised himself as the Scourge's recent victim, Mirage, in order to draw him out, and succeeded. The Scourge tried to assassinate him, but the Captain turned the tables on him. He captured and unmasked the Scourge, who confessed to being the brother of the Enforcer, his first victim. However, before Captain America could apprehend him, his captive was shot by an unseen assassin, who uttered the words "justice. . . is served!"

In fact, the Scourge of the Underworld was not one person, but the name adopted by various agents of a mysterious organization which funded, trained, and deployed its agents for acts of vigilantism, killing known super-criminals. The previous hits were all performed by at least two agents calling themselves Scourge: one male (name unrevealed), one female (later named [[Caprice]]).

The organization itself was founded by the [[Angel (Thomas Halloway)|Angel]], a major hero of the 1940's who retired after an innocent bystander was killed by a criminal he was battling. Consumed by rage and guilt, the Angel used his personal fortune to create the Scourge of the Underworld, dedicating it to the permanent termination of super-villains. He also recruited information specialist [[Dunsinane, Domino|Domino Dunsinane]], to track the activities of potential targets, and the vigilante [[Bloodstain]], to train prospective field agents. Scourge operatives are well-trained before they deploy, studying infiltration, disguise, and role-playing techniques, as well as marksmanship and advanced training in hand-to-hand combat. The standard armament of a Scourge is a .50 caliber Thompson machine gun with a sawed-off barrel and stock, using instead a folding wire stock and a special 5-round clip filled with acceleration-activated, delay-triggered explosive bullets.

The [[Red Skull (Johann Shmidt)|Red Skull]] had also claimed to be a secret founder, or at least a major financial contributor, to the organization, having at least one agent operating as the Scourge on his behalf. However, this Scourge was a rogue agent from the original organization. He killed the Skull's [[Red Skull (Albert Malik)|successor]], posing as his helicopter pilot, and battled the [[U.S.Agent]], then Captain America, with other agents of the Skull. Other kills performed by this Scourge include the [[Black Abbott]], [[Lionfang]], and the [[Wrench (Kurt Klemmer)|Wrench]], but his failure to kill such minor threats as the [[Shocker (Herman Schultz)|Shocker]], [[Gamecock]] and [[Steelwind]] prompted the Red Skull to dismiss him, killing him with his dust of death.

The Scourge then set its sights on the [[Power Broker]], killing all of his staff within his mansion. The government determined to place the Broker in protective custody, ordering the U.S.Agent (as Captain America) to defend him and to apprehend the Scourge, still believed to be a single person. The Power Broker was defended by both the Agent and [[Vagabond]], the latter who was on hand because she wanted to use the Broker’s technology to gain superpowers. The Broker turned his technology on himself, however, hoping to gain powers to defend against the Scourge, only to find the process rendered him immobile. U.S.Agent managed to defeat the Scourge, but, as before, he was killed by another Scourge agent before he could be turned over to custody.

Vagabond was then contacted to become a Scourge agent herself, although she was led to believe that she was joining a secret superhero training program. She discovered the truth after shadowing a fellow agent (known as Decker) and seeing him kill an unknown costumed villain. Already doubting the organization’s motives, she tried to assassinate the [[Matador]] but chose instead to abandon the group, fleeing after seeing the Matador as a person, a babysitter with his sister’s children. She managed to get help from the U.S.Agent, who met with her and followed a Scourge agent that tried to kill her for defecting. The Agent disguised himself as the Scourge member, infiltrating the organization, although he was quickly discovered, captured, and tortured.

Determined to recover their two missing agents, the leaders of the Scourge organization led the U.S.Agent to believe that Bloodstain was in fact his brother and offered him a place in the group. Bloodstain and Caprice released him and followed him back to the captive Scourge and Vagabond, hoping to kill them all. During the battle, the captive Scourge was shot and killed, and Caprice was accidentally shot and captured. Bloodstain escaped, but the U.S.Agent was able to track him down to the Angel’s mansion. Finally confronting the head of the Scourge organization, the U.S.Agent was able to uncover the truth behind the group. However, he was confronted again by Bloodstain, whose battle frenzy claimed the life of Domino Dunsinane and whose bullets ricocheted off the Agent’s shield, killing himself. The Angel was left with no agents, and the U.S.Agent remanded him to the authorities so that justice, finally, might be truly served.

* Note: Years later, [[Nomad (Jack Monroe)]] was used by [[Gyrich, Henry Peter|Henry Peter Gyrich]], head of the [[Commission on Superhuman Activities]] and outfitted with the costume and identity of Scourge in reminiscence of the agents of the original organization. Monroe, as Scourge, was charged with the task to hunt down and eliminate the members of the team [[Thunderbolts]], although the team eventually managed to defeat Scourge, revealing him to be Monroe and that Gyrich hoped to use the destructive power of nanoprobes to wipe out all superhumans on Earth. The Thunderbolts ultimately discovered that Gyrich himself was being controlled by the nanoprobes, and they freed everyone from the thrall of the nanotech.

As Scourge, Monroe was outfitted and trained with dozens of weapons and tools confiscated from villains captured by the government over the years. Monroe's signature weapon was a staff that could be split into twin battle staves. The staff was equipped with a shockwave emitter (adapted from the villain Shockwave.) He also rode upon a glider similar to that used by the Green Goblin. The Scourge costume was also outfitted with a helmet-mounted energy projector (a la the Unicorn) and 2 chest-mounted stun-discs. Its gauntlets featured size-changing Pym particles that enabled Monroe to grow various items from a miniaturized arsenal as needed. This included a rifle loaded with hard air bullets (a la Windshear), poison quill launchers (a la Porcupine), ice projectors (a la the Blizzard), a heat blaster (a la Melter), a sword (a la Commander Kraken), a foil (a la the Rapier), a plant-controlling ray (a la Plantman), binding rings (a la the Ringer) and a shield (a la Captain America). The Scourge costume also contained spring coil boots (a la Leap-Frog), retractable stilts (a la Stilt-Man), anti-gravity discs (a la the Wizard), a holographic projector usable for invisibility (a la Mirage), and a matter matrix card that allowed the Scourge costume to instantly materialize. The helmet also contained various sensors and analyzers and a heads up video display for remote communication and storage access status.

bio_text= Jack Monroe was born on December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor Day. His father was an American stateside Nazi sympathizer who filled his basement with a collection of Nazi paraphernalia. When Monroe brought some of this collection to school, he came to the attention of FBI agents who used Monroe to gather information about his father. When the FBI later arrested Monroe's father, it was discovered the entire town was somehow involved. Jack and his little sister were taken from his hometown and raised in various foster homes across the country, with Jack settling into Naugatuck, Connecticut.

Monroe had long been an admirer of [[Captain America (Steve Rogers)|Captain America]] and his partner [[Captain America (James Barnes)|Bucky]], an admiration that was fostered by the American government who hoped to groom Monroe into becoming a new Bucky for his generation. His foster parents were killed by Communist spies during the height of the Korean War, and after a brief time in the care of his alcoholic aunt, Monroe was placed in McMurtry's Foster Home and enrolled in Lee School for Boys in Connecticut. Monroe's history instructor shared his hero worship, and Monroe, who had since earned the nickname Bucky, became friends with his teacher through their mutual obsession. The government hoped that [[Captain America (William Burnside)|William Burnside]] (who changed his appearance and legal name to "Steve Rogers" to match that of the original Captain America), would become the next Captain America. After the Korean War, however, the government lost interest in this project, canceling its plans. So when a new villain calling himself the [[Red Skull (Albert Malik)|Red Skull]] appeared, Steve Rogers took it upon himself to inject himself and Jack with a variation of the Super-Soldier formula, becoming the new Captain America and Bucky.

Together, the heroes battled the Communist Red Skull and, later, other foes of America such as the U.N.-bombing teen idol [[Blayne, Chuck|Chuck Blayne]] and the mechanical beasts of the [[Cult of the Green Dragon]]. Unfortunately, the Super-Soldier serum was only part of the Super-Soldier program, and without treatment from "vita-rays," Rogers' variation of the serum began to effect the heroes' sanity. They began preying upon those they suspected of being Communists. When the government learned of their indiscretions, FBI agents captured them, placing them in suspended animation in the hopes that someday they could be restored.

They were released when a disgruntled government employee sympathized with the two's hard-line stance on suspected Communists. The second Captain America and Bucky believed that the original Captain America was a fake, and they fought him and his partner the [[Falcon (Sam Wilson)|Falcon]]. When they were defeated, they were sent back into suspended animation.

[[Doctor Faustus]], a psychologist, managed to gain custody of the two, transferring them to his mental institution which was actually a front for the criminal organization known as the [[Corporation]]. Dr. Faustus wanted to use them as test subjects for his mind-controlling gas. Faustus transformed William Burnside into the Grand Director of the fascist [[National Force]] and, as a test of loyalty, ordered him to shoot his former partner. The Grand Director did so, and although the gun was not loaded, was led to believe he killed Jack. The Grand Director and Faustus were defeated by Captain America and [[Daredevil (Matthew Murdock)|Daredevil]] as they brought down the National Force, and Jack Monroe was placed in the custody of [[S.H.I.E.L.D.]], where he was given special treatments to restore his sanity.

Rehabilitated, S.H.I.E.L.D. made Jack into Nomad, an identity once used by the original Captain America when he was briefly divorced from the American government and wanted an identity which did not have patriotic symbolism. They gave him a mission to infiltrate the headquarters of the [[Viper (Madame Hydra)|Viper]], hoping that the Nomad suit would unnerve the Viper since the original Nomad had defeated her once before. Nomad helped Captain America thwart the Viper's scheme, and Monroe decided to keep the identity of Nomad. He joined Captain America as a partner and apprentice, not knowing where else to go, but grateful for the friendship and tutelage in this new society.

During a period of time as a solo adventurer, he brought down the drug empire of the criminal [[Slug]], but he soon returned to join Captain America, at the time calling himself simply the Captain, and [[Captain's Unnamed Superhero Team|his allies]], Falcon and [[Demolition Man]], to oppose the [[Commission on Super-Human Activities]].

Following in Captain America's footsteps left something to be desired for Monroe. He was on a trail of a drug dealer that the law couldn't touch, and he realized the complexities of good and evil. He rescued an infant from a woman who was a prostitute and a drug addict. Determined to find his own style of crimefighting, Jack re-invented his costume and repertoire. He took it upon himself to raise the little girl, whom he named "Bucky." When bringing down the drug dealer, Monroe was confronted by the dealer, Captain America and agents of the Commission, and both the American and Russian militaries. Monroe escaped, forced to kill many of his opponents. He then started wandering across the United States and Canada, fulfilling the name Nomad.

During his travels, Monroe joined with a network of con-artists, petty thieves and prostitutes known as the Undergrounders. Monroe settled down for a short time in Los Angeles, confronting a number of adversaries such as [[U.S.Agent]], [[Deadpool]], the [[Punisher (Frank Castle)|Punisher]] and an evil [[Gambit (doppelganger)|doppelganger]] of the thief [[Gambit]], during that period. He and Bucky began wandering once more after surviving an intense city-wide riot. As he traveled, Monroe was forced to confront the realities of the homeless, AIDS, gay rights and hate spawned by ignorance.

One of Monroe's enemies, the criminal [[Epurer, Giscard|Giscard Epurer]], had located Bucky's mother, molding her into a killing machine in hopes that she would defeat Monroe for the possession of her daughter. When the two finally battled, Monroe reluctantly conceded that she was capable of taking care of both herself and Bucky and left them to start their life together.

After an attempt on his life, Monroe tracked down whom he believed the culprit, Epurer. In fact, it was a childhood bully of Monroe, [[Ingrid, Bart|Bart Ingrid]], who had secretly revived the Nazi movement in their hometown and created a an underground militia camp. Epurer sent Monroe to neutralize the camp and rescue his covert operative, Bucky's mother. In the process, Monroe learned the truth about his parents and found his mother still alive. He finally confronted Ingrid's agent, the evil 88, who had killed Bucky's mother. By taking and reprogramming 88's gun, Monroe destroyed the camp and confronted Ingrid in Washington DC, where Ingrid hoped to topple America's government from the inside. Monroe killed Ingrid but set off the bomb Ingrid wanted to use to destroy the U.S. Senate. Monroe was believed to have died, and Bucky was taken in by Epurer, who felt responsible for the death of her mother and her erstwhile adopted father.

In fact, Monroe did not die, but was once more placed in suspended animation by the U.S. government. Years later, Monroe was awakened by [[Gyrich, Henry Peter|Henry Peter Gyrich]], head of the Commission on Super-Human Activities. Gyrich outfitted Monroe with the costume and identity of Scourge in reminiscence of the agents of the organization [[Scourge of the Underworld]], who would kill superhuman criminals. Monroe, as Scourge, was charged with the task to hunt down and eliminate the members of the team [[Thunderbolts]], former supervillains who once posed as heroes to take over the world but later aimed to become champions. In the course of his task, Monroe killed the Thunderbolts' [[Jolt (Hallie Takahama)|Jolt]], [[Baron Zemo (Helmut Zemo)|Baron Zemo]], and [[Fixer (Paul Norbert Ebersol)|Techno]]. Before he died, Techno resurrected Jolt so that she would confront Monroe, who immediately began to battle the Thunderbolts' [[Atlas (Erik Josten)|Atlas]]. Atlas' body was unstable, and he threatened to destroy the surrounding area. Monroe helped contain Atlas' destruction but in so doing appeared to have killed him as well.

The Thunderbolts tracked down and defeated Scourge, revealing him to be Monroe. They discovered that Monroe was actually being controlled by nanotech, microscopic probes that controlled his actions but allowed him to be aware of his actions. With the limited amount of free will afforded to him, Monroe tried to hunt down those Thunderbolts that seemed either unredeemable or easily resurrected. Monroe revealed the truth about Gyrich, that he hoped to use the destructive power of the nanoprobes to wipe out all superhumans on Earth. Freed of the nanoprobes with help of the Thunderbolts, Monroe allied with the team to confront Gyrich and his own team of superhumans, the [[Redeemers]]. The Thunderbolts ultimately discovered that Gyrich himself was being controlled by the nanoprobes, and they freed everyone from the thrall of the nanotech. Monroe, using the holographic disguise in his Scourge arsenal, disappeared during the denouement to once again wander the roads.

More recently, although he tried to continue being a crimefighter, the action left him weaker and weaker. Jack discovered that the Super-Soldier serum was finally and irrevocably breaking down and would eventually kill him. In the last stages of this process, as he grew physically weak, so did he mentally, often experiencing hallucinations and revisiting old memories. He checked up on the young infant he briefly raised, he found her living well and adopted into a family in Philadelphia as Julia Winter. Even so, Jack stumbled across a drug dealer around her school, and he took it upon himself to take down the drug ring, even if it meant it would be his last adventure. He fought what he thought were gangs and drug runners, but in fact, his insanity twisted his perception. His enemies were innocent bystanders, the initial drug pusher really an ice cream vendor. When exiting a bar one night, Jack was shot point-blank in the chest, a victim of the Winter Soldier who was hunting all those ever imbued with the Super-Soldier serum. It was later revealed that Winter Soldier was infact James Barnes the original Bucky who was brainwashed by the Soviet Union and used as an assassin after the World War II.

bio_text= Franklin Hall was a scientist working at a private physics research center in the Canadian Rockies on a practical teleportation device. During an experiment, Hal overloaded the power causing an explosion that intermingled his molecules with the sub-nuclear graviton particles that were being generated in a nearby series of companion particle accelerators. Recovering from the accident, Hall discovered that he could mentally control gravity. A man of great ambition, he designed a costume, called himself Graviton, and took over the research center, lifting it several thousands of feet into the sky. Alerted to this threat, the [[Avengers]] tried to rescue the research center. In the fury of the battle, Graviton unleashed sufficient power to cause the matter of the sky-borne laboratory to collapse inward around him. The matter of the research center was infused with the atoms of his body for a time, giving his new 60-foot form a massive gravitational field. Eventually he as able to separate his organic atoms from the land mass he had merged with.

Graviton attempted to find a female companion by taking a New York department store hostage and levitating it above the skyscrapers. This caught the attention of Thor and during the battle, Graviton was exiled in a dimensional void by [[Thor (Thor Odinson)|Thor]]. For months he drifted in a state of suspended animation until a sudden influx of energy released a bizarre construct passing through the void at the time, which would soon become the creation of the mysterious [[Maker|Beyonder]]. Graviton's consciousness was restored and he was able to home in on the charging field used by the criminal [[Blank]] and returned to [[Earth]].

Setting up a base of operations in Los Angeles, Graviton attempted to unite all of the criminal mobs under his leadership, but was thwarted in the attempt by the newly-formed [[West Coast Avengers]]. Almost immediately afterward, Hall escaped from custody and formed a group of villains based on the four 'Fundamental Forces' with the villains [[Halflife (unrevealed)|Halflife]], [[Quantum]], and [[Zzzax]]. Although he temporarily defeated the West Coast Avengers once more, he was eventually thwarted when the Avenger [[Tigra (Greer Nelson)|Tigra]] turned the villains against each other, and Hall's floating island shot into the atmosphere.

Hall again returned to battle the Avengers in revenge, but during the battle the [[Vision]] merged his intangible android body with Hall's, then increased his density, causing Hall's density to collapse in on itself. Hall was thus shunted from reality, finding himself in another dimension. The natives of the dimension, which Hall named the [[P'Tah]], hailed his arrival as one of a god's, and Hall used this to his advantage, although their limited intelligence soon left frustrated. Using his scientific abilities, he constructed a beacon so that someone might find and rescue him.

After many months, Hall's signal was noticed by the robotic [[Fixer (Paul Norbert Ebersol)|Techno]], who at the time was working with the [[Baron Zemo (Helmut Zemo)|Baron Zemo]]. At Zemo's direction, Techno reconfigured a robotic version of the [[Hulk]], and Zemo set the robot Hulk against his former lackeys, now the hero team [[Thunderbolts]], who fought the Hulk-bot. The battle allowed the robot to siphon and store enough energy to breach the dimensional barriers and release Hall. Not caring about the particulars of his rescue, Hall lashed out at the Thunderbolts and the [[Great Lakes Avengers]] (then, the Lightning Rods) who were on the scene. He was about to kill them all when the Thunderbolt [[Moonstone (Karla Sofen)|Moonstone]] convinced Hall that his power and ambition meant nothing if he had no goals. Losing face, Hall left the scene to think about this fact.

Hall soon returned, commanding a large mass of floating land and declaring himself ruler of a new nation, Sky Island. He recruited his subjects, dubbed [[Sky Raiders]], and a harem in return for granting them the power to defy gravity, and they began to loot and pillage San Francisco, California. He was again opposed by the Thunderbolts with their erstwhile ally, [[Angel (Warren Worthington III)|Archangel]], and he summarily defeated them all. They were freed by the Thunderbolt [[Jolt (Hallie Takahama)|Jolt]], who borrowed technology derived from [[Machine Man]], whose flight capabilities were powered by "canceling out the gravity equation." Now unaffected by Hall's power, the Thunderbolts escaped and continued to battle, ultimately canceling out Hall's access to his power. When Hall regained his power, the gravitational force rushed inward, collapsing inward on himself once again, and Hall was shunted to another dimension like before.

There, Hall was rescued by a mysterious stranger, a representative of the P'tah known as [[M'Reel]], and both came to Earth. M'Reel encouraged Hall to begin discovering his true calling, and Hall recruited Moonstone of the Thunderbolts for help, still spurred by her accusations of thinking too small. Moonstone helped Hall to further refine his godlike power and fueled his ego, thinking that by so doing, she would be better able to manipulate him for her own ends. Instead, Hall embarked on an ambitious plan to capture every major world city, hold the world's heroes captive, and literally reshape the planet in his own image.

Also bent on revenge, Hall confronted the headquarters of the Thunderbolts, although the team at this time had disbanded and been replaced by the [[Redeemers]]. The Redeemers opposed Hall and were killed, except for the Fixer, who joined Moonstone alongside Hall, and [[Citizen V (John Watkins III)|Citizen V]], who recruited the remaining Thunderbolts to confront Hall. Through a mixture of surprise tactics and negotiation, all of the Thunderbolts managed to fight Hall to a standstill, and Hall sustained fatal injuries as a result. At this time, Fixer discovered M'Reel was surreptitiously using Hall's ambient energies, funneling them in order to open a portal to the P'Tah's dimension. M'Reel succeeded in opening the portal, revealing this to be his motives in helping Hall. The Thunderbolts fought back the P'Tah invasion, but it took Hall's dying effort to cause the portal to implode, sending himself and the P'Tah back. At the same time, Hall attempted to save the Thunderbolts from a similar fate, using his powers to send them to the planet known as [[Counter-Earth (Franklin Richards)|Counter-Earth]]. Hall was presumed dead, unable to survive his injuries and the dimensional fold.

However, Graviton was later seen among those villains incarcerated in the [[Raft]] and was attempting an escape during the mass breakout engineered by [[Electro (Maxwell Dillon)|Electro]]. He was confronted by heroes who would become the new Avengers, but he easily put them all on the ropes until the arrival of [[Iron Man (Anthony Stark)|Iron Man]]. Iron Man got the drop on Graviton by flying in at an extreme speed and fired a new heat beam from his chestplate at the villain, nearly killing him if not for [[Captain America (Steve Rogers)|Captain America]]'s order to stand down. During this battle, Graviton exhibited a new scar on his shaved head, and he behaved erratically and irrationally, often babbling. Perhaps there is more to his recent appearance that has yet to be revealed.

I happened to notice something odd in one of the handbooks. Young Gods part list Mielikki with this "(Jumala/Finnish)". The odd thing in this is that Jumala literally means God. As if you check the others listed there they are usually listed by what Pantheon they belong to so that sounds some what odd that she is listed as God even if its in finnish. If I'm not wrong the Pantheon name would be Kalevala as its the finnish national epic about mythological things. bio_text= In an alternate timeline, the child of Mary Jane and Peter Parker grew to become "Mayday" Parker - a vivacious teenager with a talent for basketball. Her athletic prowess and bubbly personality made her a popular student with a hectic social life. May was unaware of her father's heroic past until her own latent powers revealed themselves at a crucial point in a ballgame. Walking home afterwards, she was menaced by the [[Green Goblin (MC2)|Green Goblin]] - Norman Osborn, Jr. - who hungered for revenge on Peter Parker for the long-past battle that killed Norman's grandfather and crippled Spider-Man. Instead, it was Spider-Girl who faced the new Green Goblin, and twin legacies were born anew.[[Image:Spidergirlinline.jpg|left]]

Peter and Mary Jane Parker initially forbade May from adopting her new role, but they soon realized that their protests were in vain, and Peter chose to help teach his daughter the skills she would need to survive. As Spider-Girl, May encountered many new villains and allies in her war against crime. Most importantly, she convinced Norman Jr. to abandon his pointless feud, and they co-founded a loosely banded super-team of "[[New Warriors (MC2)|New Warriors]]."

In a battle with the super-villain [[Killerwatt (MC2)|Killerwatt]], who controlled electricity, Spider-Girl was severely shocked. This apparently caused her to lose her powers, until, in a battle with the new Spider-Man, she fell into a generator, where she was, again, shocked severely. Her powers returned, along with a few new powers.

Spider-Girl was faced with other specters from her father's past, including the near-invincible [[Black Tarantula (MC2)|Black Tarantula]]. The Tarantula arrived from South America to select May Parker as the perfect young woman to continue his bloodline. Creating "Team Spider" to supposedly assist May in her war on evil, he began a twisted mind-game to win May's heart, all the while seeking to strengthen his grip on New York's criminal infrastructure.

May has also fought versions of classic Spider-Man villains. She once fought the [[Savage Six (MC2)|Savage Six]], and has also fought [[Aftershock (MC2)|Aftershock]] (Electro's daughter). She recently teamed up with Felicity Hardy, who has taken on the role of the [[Scarlet Spider (MC2)|Scarlet Spider]]. She also occasionally faces old villains from Spider-Man's past. She has faced [[Kaine]], [[Venom (Eddie Brock)|Venom]], [[Kingpin (Wilson Fisk)|the Kingpin]], [[Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley)|the Hobgoblin]], and [[Doctor Octopus (Otto Octavius)|Doctor Octopus]], to name a few.

Recently, May experienced some of Kaine's power and they both saw a vision of her being stabbed to death in her red and blue costume. She started wearing her black costume to try to trick fate, but she was nevertheless stabbed by a Scrier in a battle. Near death, Normie gave her his [[Glossary:S#Symbiote|symbiote]] (as a farewell gift, the symbiote healed Normie's scars and tattoos) and the symbiote healed May. In order to save May from the Hobgoblin, the symbiote (who turned out to be a she) drove the Hobgoblin away, but in the process was killed by his sonic emitter. Hobgoblin later escaped.

Whether facing old Spider-Man villains, newer versions of classic bad-guys, or completely new villains, Spider-Girl will always uphold her father's motto: With great power, there must always come great responsibility.

This new Cynosure has been placed in command of her planet's protectors, the [[Luminals]], and also serves as the Council Deputy for one of the delegates aboard the floating head of a decapitated [[Celestials|Celestial]] called [[Knowhere]]. A stickler for the rules, Cynosure was immediately at odds with Knowhere's newest residents, the [[Guardians of the Galaxy]] after a [[Secret Invasion|Skrull attack]] disabled some of the facilities on Knowhere, and [[Drax]], the Destroyer, had gone missing. Cynosure was called into action when the Guardians' associate, [[Astro, Vance (Major Victory)|Major Victory]], was involved in a scuffle in Knowhere's marketplace, and she quickly subdued him with a blow from her baton. During the questioning of [[Star-Lord (Peter Quill)|Star-Lord]] and [[Quasar (Phyla-Vell)|Quasar]], Cynosure dispatched three of her mightiest Luminals to apprehend Drax, but [[Brightstorm]], [[Massdriver]] and [[Impact]] were sent to the infirmary soon after they confronted the Destroyer. That didn't stop Cynosure's pursuit of Drax or the [[Skrulls]] as she led her team into a fight with the Chief of Security on Knowhere, [[Cosmo (dog)|Cosmo]] and some of the Guardians of the Galaxy when she found them in the company of a few Skrulls. Almost taking Cosmo out of the fight with her baton, she would soon be surprised when one of the Skrulls selflessly placed himself in harm’s way to protect Cosmo. One massive telekinetic blast later, from an enraged Cosmo, Cynosure, along with the other combatants in the room, had been neutralized. Once she had awakened, Cynosure still found herself at odds with Star-Lord with no end to their bickering in sight.

The creation of [[The Fault]] forced Cynosure to agree to work with the Guardians of the Galaxy to explore this unknown territory. Her stubbornness getting the best of her, Cynosure dispatched a small group to travel into The Fault without the Guardians, and it proved to be a fatal mistake – at least for Massdriver. An evil entity from inside the fissure attached itself to Massdriver and burst forth from her body to find a more suitable host. Cynosure was almost killed by the beast, but [[Moondragon]] saved her by permitting the creature to use her for a host body. Cynosure demanded the creature stand trial and be extracted from Moondragon – a process which would have made matters much worse. Star-Lord protested, but Cynosure was not about to be told what to do. She shackled herself to Moondragon to ensure the alien would stand trial, but her haste proved to be her undoing. The [[Universal Church of Truth]] wanted the evil entity to serve as their god and kidnapped the two women. The Guardians and the Luminals had no choice but to work as one to free their comrades and return the alien back to The Fault. When the delegates on Knowhere wanted to throw the Guardians of the Galaxy off the space station for hijacking Knowhere without permission, Cynosure made a stand, siding with the Guardians, guarantying that decision would not be carried out. It appeared Cynosure and Star-Lord finally saw eye-to-eye.

I didn't do the Speedfreek bio. The only piece of info I added to this bio was the link to Crazy Eight's profile. I guess mine is the only name listed because of the errors this site has with listing all the contributers to a page. I fixed the link to the Tyrant page, and since I see you had contributed to that page already, I wanted to ask you a question. Under group affiliation, it says Tyrant was a former herald, but I thought he was a companion and the heralds started with the Fallen One and the Silver Surfer. Could you let me know if I'm right because that information should be corrected if it's wrong. As far as the Annihilation information goes, I don't even see a section devoted to that storyline. I don't know if the mods of this site have to add that information or not even though I can perform minor edits to that page. It doesn't say that exacly anywhere in the comics but if you think about it they were all created in the same event at the same time. As shown in Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus #2. Also they all had to reason to born at that time and place. As they came to existence from the same source at the same time I would think they can be consider as siblings. Check here [[OHOTMU:Bibliography-Hulk_2007#Gamma_Corps|Bibliography]]. Handbook list the comic as "World War Hulk: Gamma Corps". Comic itself have it named as "World War Hulk: Gamma Corps". If you really don't know the right title of the magazine it's always on the small text in couple first pages where there is all the copywrite things and other stuff. In all of them this has been named as "World War Hulk: Gamma Corps". Also just to point out this is not the first time in Civil War there was for example "Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways" where Civil War was included in the title. Also Annihilation was part of the name of several comics like "Annihilation: Silver Surfer", "Annihilation: Super-Skrull", "Annihilation: Nova" and "Annihilation: Ronan". To clear this out Nova was started over after "Annihilation: Nova" ended so it once again started from issue #1 as "Nova". Don't mix these in with Spider-Man, She-Hulk or other comics that were already going when Civil War, Annihilation or World War Hulk started. So in those the naming didn't change as these are just comics that are made for the event and so the event name is included in their name. Its only condescending when you take it like it would be like that. I don't want to have the last word but I don't always understand when I try to help people they take it quite negativly and don't really lissen what I say. Also if you all could do it like you want this place would be a mess I just try to put it like it should be (just to clear this out I don't mean like I want it to be. Everything you post on the site is not yours anymore its Marvel's. Also every user has right to edit any profile they want. You don't have right to tell anyone that something in this site is yours or that anyone else doesn't have right to change it. You yourself are the one who takes this personally not me. Also I have done some bios here but to courtesy to moderators have cut them down as I don't use english as main language so mistakes are frequent. I say, because it has shared so many other titles that it is misleading to list it as only taking part in Spider-Man. If your reasoning is correct, then almost every hero, villain, place and team should be listed in Spider-Man's category as many have graced his pages over and over again, but yet they are not. However, to you this is not a good explanation, and only yours is the one that counts. That is the type of behavior I do not like from you. Nothing else. Ok, thank you for the explanation and I'm not meaning this any way negativly, but why couldn't you wrote that in the first time and not that text where I don't really know what is the facts that you got riled up. I'm not dismissing you text so I answer every of those points now and anything I say I don't mean be any way dissmissive. I will start on the Spider-Man thing as it seems to be the vocal point of this matter. The category doesn't mean its just Spider-Man comic place it means that its part of Spider-Man comic if there would be Captain America category I would have added it to that as well. Adding that category doesn't dissmiss any of the other comics it has been in, but in reality is helping people find it who search things through category pages. Those categories are ment to be there to easilly find pages that are part of the category. For example I give you [[Atlas (Erik Josten)]] page he is listed in Spider-Man category as when he used alias Smuggler he mostly was seen in Spider-Man comics but it still doesn't dissmiss that he also has been part of Thunderbolts and other comics with other aliases. The categories aren't just for characters and places that are originally made for that comic but to those that frequently were part of the comic in atleast some time. Still those comics I added to significant issues section most of them were Spider-Man comics and those were the most recent ones so in reality it is already part of the comic. Of course not all the pages can be there like Doctor Doom even if Spider-Man have met him several times isn't his villain.

Then the hair color thing. Yes I did change it as I though it was right still I didn't change it back after he changed it as he gave good explanation. As the character doesn't have official handbook bio it can't be really checked if the hair color is right. If moderator doesn't change it or its listed as orange in handbook I'm not going to change it again. Its still listed as red like ohitsme changed it to. I haven't touched it after he changed it. So your how I want it doesn't fit in this matter.

First of all I don't ask moderators delete bios I'm asking them to move them not because I wan't them to be moved because for example there is several people using the alias and character thats listed under the main alias page is character that is not the character thats now active with the alias is also missleading. People try to find the active character but end up in the non-active characters page. Also the moving doesn't take the credit away from the person as the contributors will be trasfered also. Also only bio text I delete are text that are taken from external sources like wikipedia as its illegal to copy text from other sites to here. Also the moving mention is just so that moderator will notice it otherwise he might not even notice it being in the wrong place. I'm not telling him to move it I'm just noting it that it might need moving. Also I usually list them on the moving list here [[Marvel Universe:Wanted]] giving the explanation why they should be moved and its up to the moderators if they want to move them. There are several pages that are in the wrong place for many different reason. Still every thing I do are by the rules and advices I got from the moderators. I'm doing this by their book not mine so I'm not the one inventing the rules here. Only time I said that profile needs to be deleted was Lord Chaos & Master Order bio that had two characters and on the top of that there already was Lord Chaos and Master Order bios done seperatly as they should be done. Every character should have their own bio.

Hey I noticed you changed the image for the profile page, although there was nothing wrong with the original image to begin with. This is the second time that you have done this, and I am not understanding why? It is my understanding that the images are to remain as they were unless you were adding a new costume pic or new character design or if the original image did not highlight the character (meaning that there was other charactes, body parts or posibility word bubbles in the pic). This was not the case in either event. I also thought when a new character design or custume is added the old image just moves to and in-line image. Actually, I explained why I changed the main image for the profile (read inside the parenthesis). You may not think there was anything wrong with the picture, but there was. The background image(s) should be faded out a bit, so the foreground image stands out. When you place pictures on here, sometimes you fail to do that and the image looks like a mess. As in the case with Death Ninja, the main image was distorted. The foreground pic was placed at a weird angle and the tips of the swords were non-existent. You may think it looks good, but I'm not of the same opinion. In the same respect, if I don't think the main image is good enough for that, I wouldn't move it to an inline pic as it still has the same problem. I have had an image or two changed by others on the website when I failed to represent the character in a way they thought it should be represented, and I tried to learn from my mistakes. You shouldn't get insulted because I'm mainly looking to keep the site as professional looking as possible, and I have changed many others images for other characters you had nothing to do with. I can't say I will stop adjusting images I feel can be improved upon because chances are, I probably won't. Spidey287, how are you? The plus and minus numbers are a point system for contributors on the Marvel website. Points can be added when something is approved to appear on a character profile, but in the same respect points can be taken away for certain reasons. The point system at this time seems to work how it works in wikipedia. When you add text you get plus points and when you remove text you get minuses. Those that are blue in your contributions have been reviewed by moderators and those that are red haven't been. When you are a new user your edits might not show immidiatly on the page but need to approval of one of the moderators like acotilletta here. If I remember correctly this is how that redirect thing happened. When this site was more buggy the one spammer guy thats nick I don't remember somehow got in petes account and moved the original Blade profile there (thing that happened quite often in one point). Pete then some point moved it back but didn't bother to delete the redirect page. The characters are two different ones the one who you deleted from the page was member of three person team. He was seen in one of the Moon Knight comics. I just wanted to know why you deleted it as there might have been a good reason other than you didn't know that they were not the same character. Well moderators have said that no characters in disambiguation page if they haven't used the alias. Think it like this even if you have a character that is in main universe uses that alias and then you have character in other reality that doesn't use it but is the carbon copy of this character. They are still different characters with different history and quite frankly I don't see them at all as the same character. If I would met me from different universe he would not be me because only me is me. If this would be allowed it would make disambiguation pages quite a free zone. Heh no need to thank me. I did wrote it so I usually check the new edits and you did a very detailed work. You would be the one who deserves to get praised. Well I would think you used word or something else when you wrote that text so you wouldn't make any stupid writing mistake or anything. I would think Stark is listed like that because he is not anymore Iron Man he used to be but now has retired. So he is listed as Stark, Anthony and not Iron Man. Also alternative reality characters should always be listed as "Alias (Earth designation)". These ultimate and mc2 should not be used anymore. I would think admins would appreciate that you use the earth designation. Earth designation is not needed if the character is now living or has frequently visited Earth-616. The Earth-# designations have not all been published yet (many more will be soon in 2008 in the upcoming Hardcover compilations of the Handbooks), but are an exception to the rule here regarding sourcing of information for this page. Naming alternate universes by Earth-# designations is very helpful for the sake of the Handbooks and this website. (Much easier to give the number rather than "Earth where Cable killed all the X-Men"...which may have happened in more than 1 universe.) Yeah thats not really so suprising as several earth's have been numbered here before they have been numbered in handbooks or comics. If I remember correctly I was the one who added that earth long time ago to the Dazzler page. I was just going trough the list and noticed that I haven't found any reference to that earth and as there is several "unofficial" designation out there so I deleted it for to be save. I know why it makes more sence to label them with earth designation than anything else as it clearly separates the realities that are close to eachother. I rely on a list of earth designations that have been put up from handbooks and comics so I only can be sure about the realities that are published somewhere. Well in that handbook the bio was really more like crossbreed of team and species template. As the members where listed as known members and not current members and former members. I think you mean that the picture is white? The pictures have somekind of bug that makes them look like they are not showing up in the bio when in fact they are working. Why would the name of the Finnish national epic have to be the name for the race of gods? I know a person who chose that name, and it was not approved as the official name; past handbook entries have used that name, which is now considered just an alternate version. Every profile in the Encyclopaedia Mythologica was approved as the official Marvel version, and that's what the Young Gods entry was based upon.
Until in-story evidence ret-cons things as different, Jumala is the name for Marvel's Finnish Pantheon.

Heh, I was going to ask about it again soon if you would have not answered. Thanks for the answer. The thing why the national epic name could be used is as Kalevala is a mythological place where magical things are possible. Its also a place where many of the gods are present and have places like Tuonela (finnish version of Hades). Some of the main characters in the story could be considered as gods. Väinämöinen is atleast partly god as his mother is Ilmatar maiden of the air. Lemminkäinen is brought back to life with mystical honey taken from the halls of the over-god Ukko. The honey could be compared to appels of Olympians. Still it doesn't matter that much just wanted to know why it was just Jumala (god) and not plural or something else. Well I hope some writers of marvel would use some of the finnish gods in their stories there could be interesting things they could do with them. Driven to madness by the death of the woman he both loved and hated, Hermann Shmidt tried to drown the newborn infant, accusing him of murdering Martha. The doctor who had just delivered the baby saved Johann from his father, and the next morning Hermann Shmidt committed suicide. The doctor took Johann to an orphanage, where the child led a lonely existence. Johann ran away from the orphanage when he was seven years old and lived in the streets as a beggar and a thief. As he grew older he worked at various menial jobs but spent most of his time in prison for crimes ranging from vagrancy to theft.

In his late teens during the rise of the [[Nazi Party|Third Reich]], Shmidt got his most prosperous job, a bellhop in a major hotel. There he served the rooms of [[Hate-Monger (Adolf Hitler)|Adolf Hitler]] himself. By chance, he was present when Hitler was furiously berating an officer and swore he could train Johann himself, a simple bellhop, to be a better National Socialist. Looking closely at him and sensing his dark inner nature, Hitler decided to take up the challenge and recruited Shmidt.

Dissatisfied with the standard drill instruction his subordinates used to train Shmidt, Hitler took over personally. Upon completion, Hitler gave Shmidt a unique uniform with a grotesque red skull mask, and he emerged as the Red Skull. His role was the embodiment of Nazi intimidation, while Hitler could remain the popular leader of Germany. The Red Skull was appointed head of Nazi terrorist activities with an additional large role in external espionage and sabotage. He was spectacularly successful, wreaking havoc throughout Europe in the early stages of World War II. The propaganda effect was so great that the United States government decided to counter it by creating their own equivalent using the recipient of the lost [[Operation Rebirth]], Steve Rogers, [[Captain America (Steve Rogers)|Captain America]].

The two counterparts soon clashed in what would be a series of engagements throughout the war, ending with a final battle that left the Skull buried under the rubble of a bombed building. Because he was immediately exposed to an experimental gas there, he remained in suspended animation for decades.

Johann was eventually rescued in modern times by the terrorist organization, [[Hydra|HYDRA]]. The Skull quickly subverted a HYDRA cell to his own ambitions of world conquest and the death of Captain America.

Walker hit the Skull him from behind with his shield, exposing Shmidt to the dust. He suffered the signature facial disfigurement attributed to the Dust, yet survived due to years of exposure to low doses. Rogers later reclaimed the Captain America title.

[[image:redskull02.jpg|thumb|left|240px]]After this, the Skull was attacked by the mutant terrorist [[Magneto (Max Eisenhardt)|Magneto]], a Jewish Holocaust survivor who wanted to punish him for his involvement in Hitler's regime. Magneto buried him alive with enough water for a few months. The Skull remained there until he was rescued by his henchman [[Crossbones]].

Red Skull had control over multiple criminal organizations, including the [[Watchdogs]], a group of right-wing militiamen, and the [[Scourge of the Underworld]], an organization devoted to murdering super villains. He proposed an alliance with the [[Kingpin|Kingpin of Crime]] (Wilson Fisk), one of New York City's top organized crime bosses, to bring a new designer drug to New York but the Kingpin refused to form an alliance with a Nazi. Fisk defeated the Skull in hand to hand combat, sparing his life on the condition he never come near the Kingpin's territory again. However fellow Nazi [[Baron Strucker|Baron Wolfgang von Strucker]], leader of the terrorist organization HYDRA, gratefully allowed the Skull the use of HYDRA's resources after the Skull's agents brought Strucker back from the dead.

Recently, Red Skull manipulated his way into the position of Secretary of State, under the alias of Dell Rusk. Rusk developed a biological weapon he tested at Mount Rushmore, releasing a deadly spreading contagion "red zone" but was bested by Captain America and the [[Avengers]]. Desiring the Skull's Cosmic Cube for himself, former Soviet general [[Lukin, Aleksander|Aleksander Lukin]] hired Rogers' former WWII sidekick, Bucky (now known as the [[Captain America (James Barnes)|Winter Soldier]]) to assassinate the Skull. When the Skull was shot, he attempted to use the Cube to switch bodies with Lukin to survive, but the cube was weak. The transfer was only partially successful as the Skull only managed to transfer his mind into Lukin's body; now the minds of the two enemies were trapped together in the same body. The Skull/Lukin formed numerous alliances with other villains, including [[Doctor Faustus]], [[Doctor Doom (Victor von Doom)|Doctor Doom]], Arnim Zola and the [[Serpent Squad]]. The Skull used hypnotist Dr. Faustus to help arrange Captain America's assassination. Under Faustus' influence, former [[S.H.I.E.L.D.]] agent and Cap's occasional girlfriend [[Carter, Sharon|Sharon Carter]] was brainwashed into killing Captain America herself. Freed from his ever-present nemesis, the Red Skull/Lukin raised a private army while attempting to arrange for [[Wright, Gordon|Senator Gordon Wright]] to become president of the USA. The Winter Soldier became the new Captain America and overcame their plans. Arnim Zola transferred the Red Skull's mind out of Lukin's body and into one of his own spare android forms as a temporary measure. Shortly afterward, Lukin was killed by Sharon Carter and Zola was seemingly destroyed. The Red Skull remains trapped in Zola's spare body.
