{{teamhistory|
bio_text =
Department H was a branch of the Canadian government that sanctioned, supported, and monitored superhuman activity in Canada. It also oversaw the country's officially endorsed superhuman team, Alpha Flight. When Alpha Flight died in battle against the Collective, Department H officially shut down as well. (Omega Flight, Canada's subsequently endorsed team, was created as a part of the Canadian Secret Intelligence Service.)

Previously, Department H and Alpha Flight had shared a long, albeit on-again/off-again, history. It was originally conceived by the Canadian Prime Minister as a top secret research and development agency within the Ministry of Defense and headed my James MacDonald Hudson. Inspired by the debut of the Fantastic Four, Hudson led Department H to begin recruiting superhuman agents for training as well as national defense, thereby creating Alpha Flight and its two subordinate teams, Beta Flight and Gamma Flight. Before the teams really got off the ground, Department H lost government funding, although Alpha Flight remained operational as freelance adventurers.

Department H resumed operations thanks primarily to former intelligence agent Gary Cody, but the relationship between the Alphans and the government had become strained, after so many years of operating independently. During one of Alpha Flight ’s adventures in another dimension, Department H created a new team dubbed Gamma Flight to act as their official agents during Alpha Flight’s absence. When Alpha Flight eventually returned to Earth, the two teams initially clashed but soon put aside their differences to oppose the threat of the extradimensional menace of Llan the Sorcerer. Soon, Alpha Flight and Gamma Flight were combined into the one team that were reinstated as Canada's official government operatives. The restructured team continued to face various threats, but ultimately Department H decided to dissolve Alpha Flight once more, caving to public pressure against superhumans. The team disbanded, with several members, such as James and Heather Hudson, taking special advisory roles as independent operatives. (In their case, however, their personal history drove them apart soon after.)

At some point, the Canadian government tried a new iteration on the same theme: Department K. Its agents, Weapon PRIME, battled Northstar, but have since disbanded.

Department H continued to be involved in many clandestine activities, the majority of which remain a mystery to the public at large. In fact, a man known only as "Director X" seemed to be running a private agenda, its full extent unrevealed. Alpha Flight was eventually reinstated under the administration of General Clarke, their former military liaison at the Department. The new team found itself manipulated by Clarke's subversive tactics and clandestine missions, including one against the X-Men. Department H’s deception was not laid bare until an encounter with the remaining members of the original Alpha Flight team, including the resurrected James Hudson. The two teams joined forces and regained control of Department H. However, many of the Director's more enigmatic activities may never be revealed, including Department H's association with the mysterious Hull House.
{{bio|
bio_text= Captain Marvel has always been a torn between worlds, whether due to the bigotry of his alien homeworld, to his entrapment in the Negative Zone, or to his current realization of the call of duty over the knowledge of his fate. Throughout it all, however, he has proven over and over again why many consider him to be one of the greatest heroes of all time.

Visitor from Another Planet
Mar-Vell was a white-skinned minority of the blue-skinned Kree empire, but despite discrimination and prejudice, Mar-Vell became a renowned soldier and an acclaimed hero for his victories in battle against the Kree's enemies, notably the Skrulls.

Mar-Vell’s regiment, under the command of Yon-Rogg, was given a mission to observe Earth, specifically human’s progress of space travel. Yon-Rogg, jealous of the love between Mar-Vell and the ship’s medic, Una, ordered Mar-Vell to infiltrate Cape Canaveral, Florida, alone. He then secretly tried to fire on Mar-Vell’s ship, but killed a human instead-- Dr. Walter Lawson. Mar-Vell took advantage of resembling Lawson to pose as the doctor and create a secret identity, but Yon-Rogg again secretly tried to kill Mar-Vell by activating the Kree robot, the Sentry. In his Kree uniform, Mar-Vell publicly defeated the robot, and the onlookers acclaimed him as "Captain Marvel," misinterpreting what the Sentry called him.

Mar-Vell continued to observe humanity, in both his secret and costumed identity, growing increasingly sympathetic for Earth and its inhabitants. His initial adventures were typically extensions of Yon-Rogg’s attempts to kill, discredit, or otherwise destroy him, such as the time Yon-Rogg manipulated Ronan the Accuser to fight Mar-Vell by framing Captain Marvel as a traitor. Mar-Vell also had to navigate the romantic triangle between him and Una and the aggressive attention of his co-worker at the air base, Carol Danvers. These situations came to a head when Una overheard one of Yon-Rogg’s plans to kill Mar-Vell, and she was captured by his agents when she tried to warn him. Although Mar-Vell’s execution failed with the arrival of the Aakon aliens, she was shot in the battle and died in Mar-Vell’s arms as he tried to rescue her.

Metamorphosis
Before Mar-Vell returned to confront Yon-Rogg, he encountered a powerful being named Zo that granted him increased abilities. Around the same time, he ran afoul of Commander Zarek, who hoped to set up Mar-Vell as a traitor. It was he and Ronan that created the illusion of Zo, with which they again manipulated Captain Marvel into thinking he must destroy his home planet Kree-Lar. Marvel was made temporarily a fugitive until Zarek and Ronan were uncovered by the Kree’s Supreme Intelligence. The Supreme Intelligence then revealed to Captain Marvel that it knew of Zarek and Ronan’s treachery the entire time and orchestrated events so that Mar-Vell would be involved in their plot as the Intelligence hoped to use Mar-Vell for even greater things. Claiming Captain Marvel had “passed” these tests, he clothed Mar-Vell in a new costume and allowed him to retain some of his new-found abilities.

However, as soon as Captain Marvel left to return to Earth, he instead found himself in the extradimensional realm known as the Negative Zone. The Supreme Intelligence then mentally lured the Earth youth Rick Jones to an abandoned Kree base on Earth in order to bid him to wear the "Nega-Bands." By slamming the bands together, Jones and Captain Marvel shared a telepathic link as well as, more importantly, switch places between Earth’s universe and the Negative Zone. In no time at all, Captain Marvel was called out by Yon-Rogg, who was holding Carol Danvers as a hostage. In a last-ditch effort to destroy his rival, Yon-Rogg battled the hero, but Captain Marvel rescued Carol and Yon-Rogg was killed in an explosion as they escaped. (The exposure to Yon-Rogg’s weapon, the Psyche-Magnetron, transformed Carol into Ms. Marvel.)

Captain Marvel and Rick Jones continued shared adventures for many months. At one point, Mar-Vell happened upon the idea to use Mister Fantastic’s doorway into the Negative Zone to release Rick and allowing the two to share an existence in the Earth dimension simultaneously. Shortly afterward, both Rick and Marvel were swept up in the intergalactic Kree-Skrull War alongside the Avengers, where Rick encountered the Supreme Intelligence. The Intelligence released the latent psionic potential in Jones’ mind in order to help stop the war, striking all soldiers motionless and teleporting Jones’ allies to the Kree homeworld, among other fantastic feats. Rick was left very near death, and Captain Marvel sacrificed part of his lifeforce to save Jones, “merging atoms” with him so that they could become linked as in their previous relationship.

After many more months and many more adventures, Rick Jones’ body could no longer contain both his own lifeforce and that of Mar-Vell, and he collapsed. His girlfriend Lou Ann Savannah took him to her uncle, who used special photonic energy to revive him, and Jones and Captain Marvel could continue to switch places. In fact, Captain Marvel now found he could absorb solar energy and redirect it to fire energy bolts or to exhibit superhuman strength.

Protector of the Universe
When Captain Marvel became involved against the plans of the alien nihilist Thanos, he was contacted by Eon, a guardian entity of the universe who commissioned Captain Marvel as the next "Protector of the Universe." He also granted him a special “cosmic awareness.” With a newfound title and purpose, he became the primary force against defeating Thanos. In fact, it was his new cosmic awareness that allowed Captain Marvel and the Avengers to defeat the mad Titan, since it gave him insight into Thanos’ use of the Cosmic Cube. Thanos became convinced that he had drained the Cube of its power and discarded it, allowing Captain Marvel to grab the Cube and restore reality to a time before Thanos had gained control over the universe.

As time passed, Mar-Vell and Jones overcame the dimension-split between them, existing side-by-side once more, although often they would need to merge in order to maximize Captain Marvel’s power. They adventured in this manner for a long while. When Commander Zarek returned, he led the Lunatic Legion, which included transforming a lowly engineer into the villain Nitro. Nitro was sent to steal canisters of nerve gas when Captain Marvel confronted him. Although Nitro was defeated and Captain Marvel seemed to have re-sealed the canisters before endangering the public, he himself was exposed to the gas, which would later prove disastrous.

In a direct conflict with Captain Marvel, Zarek and the Lunatic Legion would have nearly succeeded in bringing him down if it were not for Marvel’s increased powers when merged with Rick Jones. Captain Marvel returned to the Kree homeworld to inform the Supreme Intelligence of the plot, but, surprisingly, the Intelligence revealed its true motives-- that it had known of Zarek’s plan and, in fact, had secretly been a driving force behind nearly all of Captain Marvel’s history. The Supreme Intelligence had long known the Kree had reached an evolutionary dead-end, and its only hope as a species was to integrate other genetically compatible races with its own so as to revitalize the Kree's stagnant development. He had specifically chosen Mar-Vell due to his genetic make-up and had also chosen Rick Jones specifically because of the latent psychic potential he housed. It further arranged to have them both "bond" by means of the Kree Nega-Bands, a process that was repeated or replicated throughout their history, because the Intelligence knew he couldn’t add Jones' brain to its collective organism directly until it was tempered by contact with a Kree brain such as Mar-Vell's. Using the unique Kree-bred flower called the Millennium Bloom, the Supreme Intelligence then proceeded to try to absorb both Jones' and Mar-Vell's brains, using their bodies as receptacles for its own consciousness in a direct assault against Earth. However, the heroes resisted and managed to escape, and Captain Marvel abandoned the Kree empire permanently.

While back on Earth, Mar-Vell wandered independently for a time. He worked at an observatory, became involved with the Defenders for a day, and again teamed up with the Avengers against Thanos. Thanos’ corruption of his home, the moon Titan, pitted the Eternals against the world-computer ISAAC, and Captain Marvel helped the Eternals restore order. During this time, he fell in love with the Eternal’s Elysius, and they began a relationship that spanned both Titan and Earth and many shared adventures.

The Death of Captain Marvel
Ultimately, Captain Marvel’s earlier exposure to the nerve gas proved cancerous, and the cancer turned malignant. Mar-Vell spent his last days on Titan, the moon of Saturn, surrounded by Elysius and his friends Mentor and Starfox. Many of his allies came to visit him while on his deathbed including the Thing, Spider-Man, Drax the Destroyer, and an ambassador of the Skrull empire (the greatest enemies of the Kree Empire) who awarded Mar-Vell with the Skrull medal of valor and stated that Captain Marvel was considered to be the greatest single enemy the Skrull Empire had ever known. He was also granted a posthumous honorary membership in the Avengers, and a monument was erected in his memory on Titan.

His heroic legacy continued first with his son, Genis-Vell, conceived by Elysius who impregnated herself with Mar-Vell's cloned DNA, and later Phyla-Vell, a daughter from an alternate reality whose history became folded into reality after a time warp. Monica Rambeau has also used the alias of Captain Marvel, and Hulking of the Young Avengers has since been revealed to be the son of Captain Marvel and Princess Annelle of the Skrull Empire.

The Return
When Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Reed Richards began construction on a prison within the Negative Zone, their activities caused a wrinkle in space-time. Encountering the wrinkle in the past, Captain Marvel touched it and was transported through time to the Negative Zone in the present day. Initially unsure of how to approach the situation, the heroes revealed Mar-Vell's history to him but also offered him a place in this new future as a warden for their prison, at least until, as the Sentry implicated, Mar-Vell would return to his past. Shaken by the experience and realization of his own fate, Mar-Vell nevertheless took up the Nega Bands once more to serve as Captain Marvel.
bio_text=
Superia was a scientific genius who followed a path of ultra-feminism. Many of the foundations for her point of view came about after she constructed a time-probe and sent it into the 23rd century, where it obtained a history book. From the book, Superia learned of the future of Femizonia, a powerful nation state ruled by the women of that future, and of how the men of that era were treated as inferiors. Her research indicated that she was the ancestor of Thundra, the Femizons' most famous warrior and ruler. Although the Femizons' world was an alternate future (the dimension of Earth-715), Superia became determined to bring about the nation of Femizonia within her lifetime.

Superia first came to the world's attention when she sponsored a pleasure cruise for female super-criminals which would transport them to the island of Femizonia. Superia called the women who arrived her Femizons, and intended to launch missiles from Femizonia which would infect the Earth with a biological weapon designed to sterilize all females. Surrounded by the island's protective dome, Superia and her followers would be unaffected, thereby granting them a powerful bargaining position over the rest of the planet-- Superia planned to force nations to submit to her, or face extinction; however, Captain America had tracked the cruise ship as he pursued his girlfriend Diamondback, and the mercenary Paladin accompanied him. Captain America was unable to prevent the missiles from launching, but he tricked Superia into fighting him near the dome so that it would be damaged, forcing her to destroy the missiles herself.
After this, Superia operated with a smaller team of Femizons used mainly as bodyguards. She journeyed to A.I.M. Island (Boca Caliente) during one of A.I.M.'s weapon expos and attempted to kill their CEO Alessandro Brannex and claim their resources for herself, but Brannex proved to be the Super-Adaptoid, and ordered her death. However, Captain America was on A.I.M. Island, helping Diamondback track Snapdragon, who had nearly drowned Diamondback during the Femizons' cruise. Captain America mistook Superia for Diamondback, and wound up saving her from MODAM. Superia demonstrated no gratitude to her opponent. During these events, a vengeful Diamondback drowned Snapdragon.

Posing as university professor Deidre Wentworth at Hayden College, Superia selected the bookworm-like student Cathy Webster as the recipient of a process that enhanced her physical prowess. Cathy became the patriotic heroine Free Spirit, but when she found that Superia's treatment included an irrational hatred of men, she turned on her. Free Spirit tracked Superia to Castle Zemo in Malpaso, Mexico, where Superia was conferring with Baroness Heike Zemo. Captain America and Diamondback had also pursued Zemo, and when Superia learned that Captain America was dying from the degeneration of his super-soldier serum, she offered to develop a cure if Diamondback would complete Snapdragon's unfinished contract. Diamondback agreed, and became the new Snapdragon.
Superia and Snapdragon invaded A.I.M. Island as the Super-Adaptoid attempted to create a new Cosmic Cube there, attracting attention from the Avengers. Superia encountered a paralyzed Captain America and offered him a sample of her cure. Captain America refused, and the cure was claimed by the Red Skull, who was suffering from the same degenerative effects, and he apparently killed Superia to prevent her from developing more samples.
| weapons = As the Black Knight, Sir Percy wore a full suit of chain mail armor for protection and carried the magical Ebony Blade. The sword, forged with magic from metal found in a mysterious meteorite, appears virtually invulnerable and able to cut through almost any material. In addition, magical spells enchant the blade, allowing it to dispel other magical barriers, attacks, and enchantments, as well as deflecting, absorbing, and re-directing other energies. He could summon the blade to his hand if separated, and even if it were out of line-of-sight. The Ebony Blade contained at least two known mystic properties. First, any enemy that touched the blade was subject to great pain. Second, Sir Percy was protected from death so long as he held the blade, although he would still be vulnerable from an attack using a weapon of similar material to the Ebony Blade. (It appears that Sir Percy was immune from the blood-curse of the Blade that affected Dane Whitman and Sean Dolan.)
bio_text= Sir Percy of Scandia was born at the castle of King Arthur Pendragon in England during the first years of Arthur’s reign in the sixth century. Sir Percy adopted the guise of the Black Knight in order to serve his king in a dual capacity: One, an unassuming man of the royal court, and the other, a mysterious avenging champion. King Arthur's court magician, Merlin, gave Percy the Ebony Blade after enchanting it himself.

As the Black Knight, Sir Percy's greatest foe was King Artur’s nephew Mordred. For years, Percy tried to gather evidence of Mordred's treachery, to no avail. Soon after the fall of Camelot, the wounded Mordred dispatched his men to ambush the Black Knight using a dagger constructed of the same meteoric ore as the Ebony Blade. Sir Percy was slain, but Merlin, however, cast a spell upon Percy's spirit, enabling it to return to the earthly plane when the spirit of Mordred threatened the world again.

Percy’s spirit was also able to return by means of a magical brazier. It returned to offer the Ebony Blade to his descendants, but only one, Dane Whitman, proved a worthy heir to the magic sword. Dane would occasionally consult the brazier for advice, such as when he needed to find where the Ebony Blade had become lost in time, finding it finally in Olympus.

Years later, when Dane Whitman had fallen victim to the Blade's curse, the sorcerer supreme, Doctor Strange, appealed to Sir Percy's spirit, allowing it to reside in the blade, thinking this would end the curse. The effort freed Dane from his affliction, but the curse remained, later affecting Dane’s squire Sean Dolan, who became Bloodwraith. The final resting place of Percy’s spirit remains a mystery.
bio_text= Jonathan Ohnn was working as a research scientist on behalf of Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime. The Kingpin hoped to create a new super-powered henchman to replace the Answer, who was killed after an encounter with Dagger. Ohnn turned his attention to Dagger's partner, Cloak, and used his machines to duplicate Cloak's power to open transdimensional portals. Curious, Ohnn stepped into the portal as the machines shorted out and, as a result, found himself transported to the so-called Spotted Dimension, a crossroads dimension. When he used a portal back to his laboratory, Ohnn found himself covered in spots that were actually portable space warps.

At the same time, the heroes Spider-Man and Black Cat were investigating Fisk's building. Calling himself the Spot, Ohnn confronted the heroes and initially managed to thwart them. But when Spider-Man returned later, the Spot battled him again, only to be soundly defeated and traumatized into thinking he could never be a supervillain.

After many years, however, Ohnn reappeared as the Spot, teaming up with the lesser-regarded villains Grizzly, the Gibbon, and Kangaroo. The Spot hoped to join the three in a successful crime spree, forming the Spider-Man Revenge Squad. Spider-Man actually threw the fight in their encounter, hoping to bolster the resolve of Grizzly and the Gibbon in becoming "good guys" instead. He must have been successful, as the two subsequently turned on their teammates, defeating the Spot and the Kangaroo.

At one point, the Spot was captured by the organization known as the Gideon Trust, who forcibly used Ohnn to open a portal to the Negative Zone dimension. The Gideon Trust hoped to investigate and exploit the natural resources of the Zone for their own purposes. The Fantastic Four were trapped in the Zone and they defeated the agents of the Gideon Trust before using the Spot’s portal to return to Earth. In the process, Ohnn seemed to have died.

In fact, the Spot survived and at some point was remanded to the Cage, an internment facility for superhumans. There, he was conscripted to form an unlikely crew with Hypno-Hustler, Rocket Racer, and Big Ben, all led by the sadistic Tombstone. In this manner, the crew was able to survive the challenges of prison, although Ohnn turned the tables on Tombstone, snitching on his activities in exchange for a parole. Even so, Tombstone used the Spot to arrange an escape from prison. He thanked the Spot for his help by killing him, snapping his neck.

However, the Spot reappeared months later, contacting his close associate, Slyde, and arranging a meeting. Both were upset at the reports of the Hydra capturing or killing lesser-known supervillains. However, when the Spot arrived, he found a brainwashed Elektra and ninja of the Hand standing over Slyde’s dead body, and he was quickly captured as well. The Spot and Slyde were resurrected by the Hand to join Hydra’s army of superhumans, all orchestrated by the Gorgon. The Spot was among the sixty to seventy agents led by Elektra against S.H.I.E.L.D., but he was felled by S.H.I.E.L.D.’s ally, Wolverine.
}}{{bio|
bio_text= The 3-D Man was a 1950's hero who came about through the unique merger of two brothers, Hal and Chuck Chandler. Chuck was a test pilot who was abducted by alien Skrulls during an important test flight. Earth was seen as a strategic location in the ongoing conflict between the alien Kree and Skrull Empires, so the Skrulls were seeking information on Earth's space program and had captured Chuck to interrogate him. Chuck resisted and escaped, accidentally causing the explosion of the Skrull spacecraft in the process. While his brother Hal watched, the radiation from the explosion seemingly disintegrated Chuck, who disappeared in a burst of light. Hal later discovered, however, that the light burst had imprinted an image of Chuck on each lens of Hal's eyeglasses. Through concentration, Hal could merge the images and cause Chuck to reappear as a three-dimensional man. Chuck become the costumed adventurer known as the 3-D Man and single-handedly subverted the Skrulls' early attempts to undermine Earthly civilization.

Hal would remain comatose whenever the 3-D Man was active but remained aware of the 3-D Man's activities through a mental link. Later, a Skrull's ray weapon altered the transformation so that Hal was the 3-D Man's dominant consciousness for some time. Both brothers' minds seemed to be present in the 3-D Man at all times, but only one of them (usually Chuck) would be in conscious control of the 3-D Man's form on any given occasion.

After a brief career as a costumed adventurer, Hal decided to retire the 3-D Man, partly because he was thinking about starting a family, and partly because he was afraid his brother's consciousness might somehow be lost during periods when Hal was the 3-D Man's dominant consciousness. Hal settled down into a career as a research scientist, got married to Chuck's former girlfriend, and raised two sons. He had only activated the 3-D Man twice in recent years, once to fight a rampaging Hulk. During this time as 3-D Man, Chuck seemed to be its dominant consciousness again.

More recently, Hal began to feel a strange impulse to travel to the Himalayan Mountains of India. Unbeknownst to him, the presence of a powerful mystical artifact was calling to him. The artifact was a pyramid-shaped shard of light, one of three such shards that were created by the universe in reaction to the presence of pure evil that was cast adrift in this dimension by the extradimensional gods known as the Trion. One of these shards was captured by the Skrulls who had abducted Chuck Chandler, and its energies had merged with Chuck in creating the 3-D Man.

Chandler also heard the call of the other shard and mounted an expedition to find it. He was betrayed, however, by Jonathan Tremont, one of the expedition's guides, who claimed the shard for himself. Hal was held captive by Tremont for many years, and Tremont used the power of his shard to create the religious organization called the Triune Understanding. Tremont had discovered the true origin of the shards and hoped to use the Understanding to end the threat of the Trion's cast-off evil, which he termed the "Triple-Evil."

Tremont also sought out alternate weapons against the Triple-Evil. He used the power of the shard that was internalized in Hal Chandler to release the powers within a new follower, Delroy Garrett Junior, creating the superhuman champion Triathlon. Triathlon unknowingly held the essence of both Hal and Chuck within himself.

Ultimately, Tremont and the hero team Avengers (which now included Triathlon among their members) fought the Triple-Evil and the aliens it had corrupted. Tremont sensed that he might overwhelm the power of the Triple-Evil, to use it for himself to become as a god, and then to reward himself with dominion over all the Earth. Instead, Triathlon found the remaining third shard and, coupling it with the power within him as personified in the 3-D Man, he wrested control of the shard used by Tremont. Using all three shards, a Triathlon/Hal Chandler/Chuck Chandler amalgamation emerged and was able to destroy the Triple-Evil.

Triathlon/3-D Man used the pyramid that once housed the Triple-Evil to return the Avengers to Earth, which had since been conquered by the time-traveling Kang. They used the power of the pyramid, channeling the energies of all those fall to its assault for millennia, to fight back and ultimately Kang was defeated.

Triathlon returned to Peggy Chandler, separating himself from Hal and Chuck and restoring both of them to physical form. Triathlon found his triple-powers had remained, although Hal and Chuck no longer possessed the power to transform into 3-D Man.

Note: In at least one timeline, a team of adventurers known as the Avengers briefly formed in the 1950's before disbanding at the request of the President, who felt the public wasn't ready to learn of them and their exploits. The 3-D Man was part of that short-lived Avengers team, and their rescue of the President from Yellow Claw helped dispel the 3-D Man's reputation as a dangerous outlaw thanks to the President's influence.

A white Bengal tiger from an Asian rainforest was once captured for experimental purposes by the High Evolutionary. Mutating her into an intelligent warrior beast who could assume female form, the Evolutionary genetically programmed this White Tiger to hunt and destroy the evil Man-Beast, a rogue member of his humanoid New Men.

The self-proclaimed Master of the World and his minions, the U-Foes, offered to reveal the Man-Beast's whereabouts in exchange for the Tiger obtaining a particular item the Master required. Not trusting the Master, White Tiger obtained the item as requested but secretly booby-trapped it so that the Master could not use it. The Master told her the Man-Beast was imprisoned in the government's Vault super-prison, and the Tiger departed just before the Master discovered his new acquisition was useless. Retaliating, the Master had his U-Foes stage a mass breakout at the Vault, during which the Man-Beast escaped. Seeking allies in her quest, White Tiger came to New York City, where she tried to locate Luke Cage and instead encountered his sometime-partner, Iron Fist (Danny Rand). After teaming with Iron Fist, Hercules, and the Hulk to rescue a group of scientists from the U-Foes at the United Nations, White Tiger agreed to join Iron Fist's newly reorganized Heroes for Hire. Battling foes such as Nitro, Whiplash and Ghaur alongside her new teammates, White Tiger fought to control her innate animal savagery, sometimes reverting to her original tiger form. She also struggled to come to terms with her growing capacity for human emotion, especially her fascination with Iron Fist.

While helping Thena and the Eternals seek sanctuary at the High Evolutionary's Mount Wundagore citadel, White Tiger discovered that the Evolutionary and his New Men had been driven out by the Exodus and his Acolytes. After helping the Heroes for Hire defeat the Master of the World, White Tiger combined her life force with that of Luke Cage, Colleen Wing and Misty Knight so that the Brother Voodoo could use their combined energies to revive Iron Fist, who had nearly died saving Cage from the Master. Shaken by Iron Fist's near-demise and jealous of Knight, Iron Fist's former girlfriend, White Tiger challenged Knight to a death duel, naively believing that killing Knight would automatically make the Tiger Iron Fist's new lover. Convinced by Knight that this approach would not win Iron Fist's affections regardless of the outcome, the confused Tiger retreated. Shortly thereafter, Iron Fist firmly rejected the Tiger's romantic interest in him.

White Tiger and the Heroes for Hire helped the High Evolutionary and his Knights of Wundagore retake their citadel despite resistance from Exodus and the Acolytes. During the conflict, White Tiger discovered the Knights' "Lord Anon" was actually a disguised Man-Beast and helped defeat him, also battling Iron Fist when he came between them. The beaten Man-Beast was turned back into an ordinary wolf, and a heartsick White Tiger asked the Evolutionary to give her the same treatment, no longer able to cope with the pain and confusion of human emotions. The Evolutionary honored her wishes, using his Isotope E to make her an ordinary tiger again and promising to return her to her native rainforest.
Hector Ayala was a Puerto Rican immigrant studying in New York City's Empire State University. One day, he happened upon mystical amulets in the shape of a tiger's head and paws. Unknown to him, they were recently discarded by the crime-fighting team known as the Sons of the Tiger. When wearing the amulet, Ayala found himself endowed with the strength and reflexes of three men. He decided to become a hero, calling himself the White Tiger.

As the White Tiger, Ayala became a successful costumed hero. He soon met and teamed up with Spider-Man, and the two would often share adventures together, such as fighting the Masked Marauder and Carrion. In fact, Ayala and Spider-Man would become such close friends that they shared their secret identities with one another.

Over time, however, Ayala grew uncomfortable as a crime-fighter, and after nearly dying in confrontation with the criminal Gideon Mace, Ayala gave his amulets to the police detective Blackbyrd, a friend of the Sons of the Tiger, with instructions to return the amulets to them. Ayala returned to a normal civilian life, eventually marrying his long-time girlfriend, Holly Gillis.

More recently, Ayala somehow came into possession of the mystic pendants once again. After a fight with his wife, Ayala donned his White Tiger costume again, hoping to come out of retirement and begin fighting crime again. Unfortunately, in the first crime scene he came to, he arrived too late to help stop a robbery at a pawn shop, and an officer was shot. The two thugs managed to overpower Ayala and escape, leaving him holding a stolen TV and standing over the body of the policeman when his back-up arrived.

Ayala was arrested and sent to trial. He used Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and Foggy Nelson as his council. Unfortunately, the trial went from bad to worse, due in part to Ayala's outburst when being questioned about his marriage. Ultimately, a guilty verdict was returned, and Ayala overreacted. He grabbed a gun from a security guard as he tried to flee the courthouse, only to be confronted by police and shot. Murdock was able to convince the true culprit to confess, but it was too late.
Easing into civilian life, the former policeman and army officer lived many years before slipping into a coma roughly twenty years ago. In need of superhumans, Sasquatch became aware of Princeton's latent mutant powers, and managed to revive the 96 year-old. The now-elderly Princeton initially declined Sasquatch's offer to join Alpha Flight, but eventually accepted. The newly-formed group helped rescue the original Alpha Flight, fought Big Hero 6 and alter stopped the machinations of the criminal Manimator. During his last known adventure with the team, Princeton was sent back in time, where his teammate Nemesis revealed to him that she was Amelia, his long-lost love. Their post-Alpha Flight adventures have yet to be revealed, though a vision showed Centennial and Nemesis as having died and been buried side by side.
{{bio|
bio_text=
Lester Verde was an overweight child and the constant victim of bullies. At an early age, he decided to use the power of words to strike out where he couldn't physically. In college, he pursued a journalism degree, leaning toward sensationalistic stories, and he used the power of the written word to falsely accuse his journalism ethics teacher in a drug scandal thereby destroying his marriage and career. During this time, Lester also became enamored by a model for the art classes, Beverly Switzler, although she spurned his advances. Verde sought revenge by writing false stories about Beverly and her current boyfriend. Subsequently, her boyfriend died in a car crash as he raced to see her.

After college, Lester worked as an investigative reporter for various tabloids, but later switched careers to become a rock music critic, and then a musician, all to impress Beverly who had nonetheless forgotten all about him. Then, Verde arranged to "expose" the band he was in with charges of decadence. However, in an elaborate mock fight that grew out of control, Verde's left hand was severed by a prop guillotine. Underneath the prop bells, Verde's sanity snapped, and he decided to become a supervillain.

Verde somehow acquired a superb physique, mastery of sonic and genetic engineering, and an elaborate headquarters and other scientific resources. Verde succeeded in creating vaguely humanoid beings called "Neezers" from genetically-engineered animals.

Calling himself Doctor Bong, Verde captured Beverly and her companion, Howard the Duck. Verde held them prisoner in his castle, demanding Beverly marry him or else he would kill Howard. Beverly reluctantly agreed but Verde still subjected Howard to a hideous experiment that transformed the waterfowl into a human. Bong then forced a passing ship's captain to marry Beverly and him. Howard escaped and eventually regained his normal form, returning to attempt rescue. Instead, it was Beverly who had since used her time in the castle to create five infant clones of Lester, naming them the "Bong Quintuplets." Beverly played to Doctor Bong's self-aggrandizing attitude, threatening to besmirch his reputation by revealing him a negligent father. Bong took custody of the children and sent Beverly and Howard away.

Later, the Doctor was dismayed when he discovered his sons' love for animated cartoons. He developed "Bong-Vision," a means to reshape the cartoons (and other televised programming) into realistic three-dimensional realities. Coincidentally, She-Hulk and other citizens became trapped in these deadly realities, and She-Hulk worked her way through to confront Bong directly. She rescued the innocent victims and escaped the alternate realities, but Doctor Bong remained trapped within them when the Bong-Vision system was turned off.

Doctor Bong reappeared months later, having switched careers again. This time he set himself up as a psychologist (apparently to win the affections of a woman named Barbara.) He treated Deadpool, encouraging him to engage in gratuitous battle against Wolverine as therapy. Bong called off the battle, though, when Deadpool seemed to reach a breakthrough.

Once again, his unrequited love prompted him to set his sights on Beverly Switzler. He formed his own dotcom company, Globally Branded Content (or GBC.com), and hired Beverly to be a supervisor for a genetically-engineered boy band singer, TJ. Howard the Duck, suspicious and more than a little upset, uncovered the truth of Doctor Bong's involvment, but Bong would rather have revenge. He caused GBC.com's labratories to explode, effecting his escape and unexpectedly leaving Howard trapped in the body of a giant humanoid mouse.

Unsatisfied that his revenge wasn't complete, Doctor Bong manipulated Howard and Beverly first by trying to link them to the terrorist Osama el-Braka and then by setting them up against Detective Suzi, weilder of the Amulet of Pazuzu. In the final confrontation, Howard accidentally took on the Amulet of Pazuzu himself, turning him into a bloodthirsty female warrior. Doctor Bong managed to escape the brouhaha, and Beverly helped Howard return to normal.
Kyle, that entry is word for word plagiarised from the Appendix of the Marvel Universe site. First, we have a policy of not taking from other sites. Plagiarism is not cool. Second, the writers of the Handbooks, who are moderators here, largely come from that site. Plagiarising that site is not only not cool, its also extremely dumb, because we'll recognise the work very quickly. I'm deleting the entry, and the image (which you also appear to have lifted from that site). Please do not do this again. Stuart Vandal 18:52, 10 April 2006 (EDT)
Determining Categories
I saw that you added a couple categories for Paladin and I was wondering what the criteria was, in general, for considering characters to be placed in certain categories or not. In Paladin's case, was he ever involved in Marvel Knights, or is this because he is rumored (at this point, it's still a rumor) that he's going to be in the new Heroes for Hire book? Also, why is he in the Avengers category? He showed up in all of two, three issues in vol. 1? He's more likely fitting a Spider-Man category because of his association with Silver Sable. I'm just asking because I too like the categories and love seeing characters cross-referenced and stuff. I'd love to through more categories at characters whose bio I create, and I was wondering what the criteria was. --Danny Waah! 21:33, 11 May 2006 (EDT)
Mimicx isn't the person to ask about criterias. Ask one of the mods (Mike, Stuart, or ComiX) or try looking through the posting guidelines for something pertaining to categories. --Viper 21:43, 11 May 2006 (EDT)
Well Danny I was thinking putting him with Marvel Knights since I assumed thats were assassins, mercinaries and various vigilantes go. Plus his involvement with Daredevil. Also, when refering to Doctor Doom or Strange do not use the Dr. abbreiviation. If you find yourself writing the name time and time again abbrieviating is fine, but the first reference to the name should be professional and appear how it shows up in comics and on the other pages.
Ok here comes why they should not be listed. X-Factor hasnt decided a side and the comic that decides that is coming out next week. In the last issue they were discussion between themselfs witch side to take. Wolverine is a rogue at this time he isnt said to be either side he just wants to take Nitro down. Its known that he doesnt like the law but he isnt fought against anyone of the pro-side. He is still a wild card even if its quite easy to guess his side. Luke Gage hasnt even been shown any issue else than Wolverine #42 and he didnt say anything to join either side. He is going to be in the next Avengers issue but what side he takes havent been revealed. Timeslip was shown only in She-Hulk #8 and she was running away from the mob. How that defines her side? John Jameson was shown in She-Hulk #8 talking with Captain America but in that conversation he didnt say anything of joining him. Cap even asked him to tell him if She-Hulk would be on his side but John refused to tell him. Also he said he was honored to have served with Cap but he doesnt say he is with Cap. Deprii was only shown in She-Hulk #8 in a net page picture. Why would a internet page decided what side she is? --Wezqu 06:55, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

Oh almost forgot Quicksilver has been shown only in X-Factor #8 and I didnt see any word of him saying anything about this Civil War or witch side he is. Ultra Girl was shown in She-Hulk #8 on a net page image as I said earlier how that defines her side. --Wezqu 07:08, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

I finally added Thing to the Pro- side (temporarily) ONLY because he was on the field of battle, punching Hulkling as a Pro- member. However, the Invisible Woman has not done anything on either side, at least not overtly. Though there seem to be hints that she might be working against the Pro- side. I agree on Wolverine, though he's made comments that imply that he's against it, but he hasn't "taken up arms" against the Pro- people. PseudoSherlock 07:28, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

Yeah noticed that had to correct it because I deleted it the same time than the others. You should have said that about half minute earlier. About the Thing he even told them that he doesnt want to fight in the recent comic so its quite a sure deal that he isnt siding with them in the end. --Wezqu 07:37, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

I agree. But I knew if I kept him off, or argued to keep him off, it would be against my quoted belief that they should be on a side if they're willing to fight the other side. And I would just be keeping off one of my favorite guys because I want to see him on the resistance side. :) But yeah, I saw that you did that, and realized it would get complex, because I didn't want to just go in and change it back. I'm glad you did it, instead! Thank you. Though I'll be the first to run on and move him back once he does something against it. PseudoSherlock 08:18, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

Well Wezgu.... jamie madrox does say that x-factor opposes the registration in the newest issue of X-Factor. Quicksilver actually does say how the registration will be a bad thing and therefore i enterpreted it as his opposition towards the thing. Cage is seen fighting alongside the anti-registration team. -- mimicx35

First learn to write my nick right some people might take it as a insult when someone writes it wrong. Ok X-Factor can be added as Quicksilver also. Didnt know that X-Factor #9 was published. You can check yourself that its listed in the sell page to be published next week if you dont believe me. Cage havent fighted in any fight but he might be standing with the other anti-side heroes when they rescued Young Avengers but you cant say for sure that its him, but the others I told is right they havent choosen a side. --Wezqu 15:19, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

As someone that has their handle spelt wrong all the time, don't take offence if it is mispelt on occation. Chances are it is a mistake and not ment to be insulting.<BR>
Luke Cage was shown to be Anti-Registration in CIVIL WAR #2. Invisible Woman is currently Pro-Registration because she is standing beside her husband (shown in CIVIL WAR #2)dispite having thoughts of Anti-Registration. However, she will change sides later just like Spider-Man and Thing will also change sides. --DragynWulf 16:41, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

Well I dont spell check everything I write and I'm not someone who uses it as native language. So to me mistakes are more common than those who do use it as their native language. Also I just stated that someone might be offended by that and its not really a mispelt on occasion. You dont have a know idea how many people I get that write it like that. I just pointed out that he spelled it wrong. I have a right to correct someone when he writes it wrong its almost the same that someone calls you by wrong name in real life. I didnt take offence about it. Sorry if I sounded that I did. Back to the topic. Well peacy then they are but I had a valid point in those others he tried to say was choosen a side. --Wezqu 17:11, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

Saying "<I>First learn to write my nick right</I>" gives the impression that you were offended, which is why I said what I did.<BR>
Wolverine's comments in CIVIL WAR #2 show that he is Anti-Regisration even though he is already registered because of the Mutant Regisration Act. The X-Men just didn't want to get invovled is all, but will eventually have to get invovled.<BR>
I have not read SHE-HULK so I can't comment on what exactly was shown. However if a character was shown on a computer monitor while the character was searching on the internet and found Deprii to be on a side, it is a way for the creative team to show information instead of going into detail. Same with video monitors on a TV. --DragynWulf 17:50, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

Ok let me clarify whatkind of page it was. It was made by Carton Lafroyge where he one by one was going to relieve identities of former New Warriors members. It hadn't anything to do with sides. Every member had a picture on the site and his alias and real name under it. Some of them didnt have the real name yet in there but like I said it didnt have anything to do with sides in Civil War just hate against New Warriors. --Wezqu 18:21, 22 July 2006 (EDT)

First off i wasnt offending you i didnt even know i was misspelling your name or nickname. and ultra girl, and the others who confronted carton ran away when they percieved that the authorities were there they ran away which to me shows that they dont want to register or be captured. -- mimicx35

Also there is no mention about them running away. One of them escaped because he was hunted down by angry mob. Would you be so stupid to stand there when they come at you with weapons. Also of course they went hide if people after to get them. It still didnt say that they would have been against the registration. Just protecting themselfs. --Wezqu 20:43, 22 July 2006 (EDT)
Disambiguation pages
Just wanted to give you a advice when you do those pages. Dont make the description too long it would be nice that it would be like four rows. Also about characters that havent been named just put "unrevealed" on the name part, but if there is more than one character that doesnt have a name and uses the same alias then you can put something like a organization, job, alias or something else. I edited your Super-Patriot disambiguation page it looks much better when the description isnt too long. --Wezqu 06:40, 10 August 2006 (EDT)

The only thing that can be updated as soon as a comic is released is the Civil War page. All other pages need to wait 3-4 weeks before adding new information to so that people that do not want to be spoiled will not be spoiled with new information before they got the chance to read it for themselves. --DragynWulf 00:21, 17 November 2006 (CST) (Moderator)
Using a character's real name in name of profile
There is only a need for a redirect or disambig page if there are more than one character using that name. U.S.Agent is the only character using that name, so there is no need to change it to include his real name. That is only used to specify between more than one version of a character. --DragynWulf 11:40, 30 November 2006 (CST)
I just wanted to add to this that when you need to move a bio don't do it yourself even if the bio is made by you yourself. Only admins have right to move bios, because they are the only ones with the ability to do so. Dragynwulf's discussion page has a topic where you can list bios you think should be moved if you see a need to move a bio list it there and he will move them when he can. --Wezqu 12:06, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Groups
Characters can be in more than one group at the sametime. Just because they might have joined the Secret Avengers does not mean that they are not still part of the same group that they were previously in, especially if every member of that team is in the group as well.<BR>
For example, Wolverine is a member of the X-Men and Avengers, BAD Girls Inc. are members of that team and Secret Avengers, Cloak & Dagger are still partners while also members of the Secret Avengers, Wrecking Crew were members of the Wrecking Crew and Masters of Evil. --DragynWulf 11:51, 30 November 2006 (CST)
Re: Why delete these?
Hi Mimicx35. The short answer is... I didn't. At least, not intentionally. Even though your changes were approved, for some reason my subsequent edit undid them. I wonder if this is because I had (earlier this month) split up the sections so that they could be edited individually. That seems counter-intuitive, but I am otherwise having difficulty understanding why it wouldn't give me the most recently approved version of the talk page to edit. I'll try to keep a close watch on it since you and I seem to be the ones who edit it most often. Sorry about that. --Lonesome Pinky 23:49, 25 January 2007 (CST)
Initiative category
Not every character that is part of Civil War is part of the Initiative. Only those shown to be part of the 50 States Initiative, not assumed that they are part of it. CIVIL WAR: BATTLE DAMAGE REPORT gives a large list of character that are part of it, as well as those that are potential recruits and undetermined. --DragynWulf 17:12, 29 March 2007 (CDT)

I know and thats what I was going on. I read each entry, including the list and added only people who are already in the 50 states initiative or initiative trainees or trainers. So whats the problem with that? --mimicx35

I overlooked various members of the Great Lakes Champions as a group entry instead of individual entries. Meaning, I couldn't find "Doorman", "Big Bertha", etc as entries when I should have been looking for Great Lakes Champions. My mistake and I apologize. --DragynWulf 19:41, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
}}{{bio|
bio_text= Thomas Smallwood, an unassuming fisherman, found an odd egg during an expedition and brought it home to his wife. When she touched it, the egg opened to reveal a small, green humanoid infant! Naming her Marrina, the Smallwoods adopted her as their own. When she reached maturity, Thomas Smallwood informed his government of their superhuman daughter, and she was inducted into Canada's superhuman trainee program, Gamma Flight. Marrina so proved herself that she quickly rose through the ranks. She would have graduated to their premier super-team, Alpha Flight, but its funding was cut, and the team disbanded. Nevertheless, the members took it upon themselves to keep the team going, and Marrina was among these new founding members.

Once, Marrina was kidnapped from Alpha Flight by the Master of the World. The Master was determined to destroy Marrina, as he was an innocent victim transformed by the alien Plodex, while Marrina, she was the one of the last surviving Plodex on Earth! He revealed her origins to her: The Plodex populated new worlds by seeding eggs with beings of variable genetic structure. These beings would imprint the genetic material of the dominant species and thus survive in the new environment. Marrina had imprinted herself to become a human female, but her Plodex coding was flawed-- she did not inherit the Plodex' natural inclination for conquest and belligerence. Marrina was rescued by Alpha Flight and Namor the Sub-Mariner, and in so doing, freed the Master from his connection to Plodex technology.

Later, Namor invited Marrina to accompany him to Atlantis, and the two soon became lovers. However, the Master found the other surviving member of the Plodex on Earth, which had a monstrous form and was fully given over to its instincts to kill. The Master permitted the creature to commit a series of murders which Marrina investigated. As she approached the creature, it triggered her savage instincts. She attacked Puck and the Sub-Mariner, who had followed her, but they were all captured by the Master. At his base, Marrina confronted the other Plodex and was horrified to believe it was her intended mate. When the Master's submarine exploded, Marrina allowed Namor to think she had been killed in the blast. The human part of her was overcome with shame over her savage instincts and the way she had wanted to give in to them. Believing herself to be a monster, Marrina left everyone to lead a solitary life at sea.

However, having apparently overcome her savage tendencies and ennui, Marrina returned to marry the Sub-Mariner and became queen of his new undersea kingdom of Beluvia. When Beluvia failed and the Sub-Mariner returned to the surface world as an outcast, Marrina left with him. The Sub-Mariner then accepted membership with the Avengers, and Marrina became an associate of the team. Unaware that she was pregnant, Marrina's condition triggered a transformation into a huge, savage sea creature resembling the mythical Leviathan. After sinking several fleets of ships and ravaging Atlantis, the Avengers hunted her down. Ultimately, it was the Sub-Mariner who mortally wounded her with the Black Knight's Ebony Blade. Marrina, whose body had changed back into its normal form, was then buried by the Sub-Mariner with the honor fitting one who had been his mate and an associate of the Avengers.

Later, the Avengers uncovered a nest made of the remnants of the Leviathan's destruction and eggs, which had already hatched. Presumably an unknown number of offspring had fled into the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean.

When Earth was recently attacked by Kang, the Master of the World saw him as a potential threat and launch his own counterattack, claiming the Earth as his own to protect. The Avengers were caught in a three-way struggle, ultimately confronting taking control of the Master's base and equipment. The Avengers wondered where the Master had received the genetic information needed to create an army of Plodex-creatures, and they failed to find the body of Marrina in one of the Master's genetic laboratories. Unfortunately, the Master's base and equipment disappeared into the Earth once the conflict was over. Marrina's true fate may yet to be revealed.
Belasco became like unto a demon himself, and the father of a race of new demons. The ritual to bring the Elder Gods to Earth involved five mystical bloodstones, but it must have never been completed or was disrupted-- the actual details remain lost to the ravages of time.

Belasco has suggested that it was he who kidnapped Beatrice, the lover of the poet Danté, in order to perpetuate his demon race. Danté's pursuit for his love took him through an ancient Atlantean outpost that became the inspiration of his poem Inferno. In the final showdown with Belasco, Danté caused the villain to break an overhead pipe, releasing a freezing liquid on himself that placed him into suspended animation for centuries. It wasn't until more recent years that a nearby volcano released him from his icy animation (although this story fails to account for the loss of his right arm, a fact which still remains a mystery.)
Returning to his original mission, Belasco tried to again summon the Elder Gods to Earth, while at the same time he kidnapped Shanna The She-Devil as the next mother of his new race of demons. Ka-Zar thwarted his schemes, of course, and Belasco found himself banished into a Limbo dimension by the Elder Gods as punishment.
Sefton ultimately defeated Belasco and claimed the Soulsword, and thus the rule of Limbo, for herself.
Almost immediately, Belasco reappeared, having his right arm restored by the Elder Gods, and formed an alliance with the demons known as the N'Garai. To accomplish this, Belasco stole the Shadowcat's soul and the N'Garai switched their souls for those of five other X-Men. Illyana Rasputin was briefly brought back to life during a re-shaping of reality by the Scarlet Witch. Even from Limbo, Belasco sensed this reappearance, and was curious when Illyana disappeared again (when the Scarlet Witch restored reality to normal.) Belasco has also ensnared victims in crystal, extracting their skeletons while the victims remained alive. Belasco can control fire, summon blasts of magical energy, raise the dead, and summon the powerful Elder Gods (a process which requires five bloodstones in a ritual.) His powers had become linked with that of Limbo, as evidenced when Illyana assumed more magical power and took on a demonic form, reverting Belasco to a human appearance, and vice versa when Illyana cast off her demonic form. He similarly remained vulnerable to Illyana's Soulsword, the manifestation of her mystic potential.
bio_text= Only the blackest of hearts would dare delve into the dark magic of the Elder Gods, but 13th Century sorcerer Belasco was of just such a heart. He promised to help these evil gods return to Earth in exchange for vast mystical power and nigh immortality. The Gods agreed, but their power left a mark.

Ka-Zar thwarted his schemes, of course, and Belasco found himself bansihed into a Limbo dimension by the Elder Gods as punishment.

Belasco eventually became absolute master of the Limbo dimension. However, his rule was threatened when the young Illyana Rasputin, Magik, found that her teleportation power enabled her to enter Limbo. Belasco sensed the opportunity to gain a powerful ally, and he taught Magick true magic abilities, even unleashing her "Darkchilde" form. Ultimately, Magik rebelled, deposing Belasco and claiming the leadership of Limbo for herself.

When Illyana Rasputin died, Belasco began an elaborate plot to reclaim his title as Master of Limbo, and stole Illyana's Soulsword by way of the heroes Amanda Sefton and Nightcrawler and their mother, Margali Szardos. Sefton ultimately defeated Belasco and claimed the Soulsword, and thus the rule of Limbo, for herself.

Almost immediately, Belasco reappeared, having his right arm restored by the Elder Gods, and formed an alliance with the demons known as the N'Garai. The N'Garai and Belasco wanted to used Limbo as a launching pad for a demonic attack in order to regain their lost kingdoms. To accomplish this, Belasco stole the Shadowcat's soul and the N'Garai switched their souls for those of five other X-Men. Shadowcat and Sefton, know calling herself Magik, defeated Belasco and the N'Garai, restoring the X-Men's souls.

Illyana Rasputin was briefly brought back to life during a re-shaping of reality by the Scarlet Witch. Even from Limbo, Belasco sensed this reappearance, and was curious when Illyana disappeared again (when the Scarlet Witch restored reality to normal.) He forcibly seized control of Limbo from Amanda Sefton in a quick, furious coup. His next targets were the people with whom Illyana was last "seen," the students of the Xavier Institute! }}{{bio|
bio_text= Believed by many to be nothing more than a Chinese criminal mastermind fulfilling the 1950-America's anti-Communist fears and thinly veiled racism, the Yellow Claw was actually Plan Tzu, the 19th Century descendant of and rightful successor to the legendary warlord Temujin, a.k.a. Genghis Khan. As part of this birthright, he claimed rulership of the Atlas Foundation, one of the most inscrutable, pervasive and enduring secret societies on Earth and one intent on perpetuating the ancient Mongol Empire.

However, as Plan Tzu aged, he grew less concerned over the Atlas Foundation's traditional pursuits of world domination and hoped that his successor would instead use its covert power and influence for humanity's greater good. His selected successor, Woo Yen Jet, was taken to America, however, as his parents wanted no part of Khan's legacy. He was named Jimmy Woo and grew to become one of the nation's top FBI agents. Secretly monitoring Woo, the Atlas Foundation decided to help him advance his career and hone his skills by creating a super-menace for Woo to defeat: thus the Yellow Claw.

Some of these schemes included employing Nazi war criminal Fritz Von Voltzman as an assistant. He unleashed mutant psychics who could alter reality, hypnotists, microscopic armies, a giant robot of the god Temujai, killer mutated sea gulls called Screemies, and other menaces, but at every turn resourceful Jimmy Woo and his allies would thwart the plans of "the Yellow Claw." The Claw's grandniece, Suwan, fell in love with Jimmy, often defying her granduncle and helping Jimmy gain the upper hand. In recent years, the Yellow Claw continued his deception, clashing with S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury, drawing in Jimmy Woo, now a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent himself, as well as Captain America and other heroes. During this latter adventure, he professed his long life was ending, and he attempted to prepare Suwan to be his successor by planting the spirit of Fan-le-tamen, a ruthless Egyptian princess, into her body. However, the possessed Suwan turned on the Claw, who forced Fan-le-tamen's spirit from Suwan, restoring the Claw's failing health but slaying her in the process. (The full motivations behind this plan remain unrevealed in light of the Claw's recent confession to be Plan Tzu working on Woo's behalf.) Other times, the Yellow Claw clashed with the Mandarin, another Asian warlord, once fighting him as part of the super-villain contest of the extradimensional Black Lama. Later still, the Claw once became the leader of a faction of Hydra with the support of Madame Hydra, whom he then claimed to be his new heir.

In more recent years, an aging Jimmy Woo, confined to an obscure desk job at S.H.I.E.L.D., recently renewed his investigations of the Atlas Foundation alongside a team of rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but his team was killed and Woo himself nearly slain while invading the Temple of Atlas. Kept alive by Plan Tzu and his men until help arrived, Woo was taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody and maintained on life support. The Atlas Foundation had recovered Woo's former ally, the robot M-11, and allowed it to recruit others of Woo's allies to liberate him and rejuvenate him using Marvel Boy's alien science. Woo went on to recruit more heroes, and together they subsequently exposed and shut down many subversive Atlas operations operating under various legitimate business fronts, finally invading the Temple of Atlas itself.

The heroes confronted the Yellow Claw who revealed himself to be Plan Tzu, a.k.a. Master Plan, and told Woo of his true heritage and the Atlas Foundation's plans for him. As Plan knew he would, Woo saw the chance to use the Atlas Foundation's immense resources for good, taking Plan's place as Khan of the Eternal Empire and CEO of the Atlas Foundation. As one Khan rose, the other must fall-- Master Plan was consumed by the Atlas Foundation's royal advisor, the dragon Mr. Lao.
bio_text = One of the most inscrutable, pervasive and enduring secret societies on Earth, the Atlas Foundation traditionally pursued world domination but currently uses its covert power and influence for humanity's greater good.

Steeped in advanced science and ancient sorcery, the society regards itself as a perpetuation of the ancient Mongol Empire, with each leader a descendant of and rightful successor to Genghis Khan. As he grows old, each Khan seeks a successor. For most of the 19th Century, the Atlas Foundation society was led by Plan Tzu, a.k.a. Master Plan. Plan had long since selected his potential successor, Jimmy Woo, despite the attempts of Jimmy's parents to spare him this legacy and their flight to America. Jimmy Woo became one of the top West Coast FBI agents, but Plan Tzu made himself into Woo's greatest enemy, the Yellow Claw, so as to help Jimmy advance his career and hone his skills. Indeed, nearly all of Jimmy's adventurers and allies were in some way all part of the Atlas Foundation's machinations.

One such adventure was prompted by the Yellow Claw's kidnapping of President Elsenhower in 1958. Authorized to assemble a special rescue team, Woo reviewed his files on active super-beings and instinctively selected a roster that came to him in a dream: Gorilla Man, Venus, Marvel Boy and aquatic heroine Namora. Namora declined to join the mission but found a replacement by helping Woo salvage the lost Human Robot. Meshing smoothly as a team, Woo's "G-Men" rescued Elsenhower and accomplished various other missions, repeatedly clashing with Atlas Foundation agents and pawns such as the mutated canine cosmonaut Laika; however, U.S. authorities ultimately decided the world was not ready for such bizarre heroes and disbanded the group, declaring their missions classified.

In recent years, now an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Jimmy longed for the action in his youth. He renewed his investigations of the Atlas Foundation alongside a team of rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but his team was killed and Woo himself nearly slain while invading the Temple of Atlas. Woo was eventually rescued and revived by his former allies of the G-Men, who agreed to help Woo uncover the truth of the Foundation. Joined by S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Derek Khanata, the heroes subsequently exposed and shut down many subversive Atlas operations operating under various legitimate business fronts, finally invading the Temple of Atlas itself.
The heroes confronted Master Plan and his royal advisor, Mr. Lao, who revealed Woo's true heritage and the Atlas Foundation's plans for him. Seeing a chance to use the Atlas Foundation's immense resources for good, Woo accepted his new post as Khan of the Eternal Empire and CEO of the Atlas Foundation with the blessing of Plan, whom Lao promptly consumed. Allowing the world to believe them slain by the Claw, Jimmy Woo's heroic team has remained together as the core Agents of Atlas, the foundation's primary covert super-operatives. Derek Khanata has concealed their continued existence from his S.H.I.E.L.D. superiors.

* NOTE: In reality-9904, Hale, M-11, Grayson and Venus teamed with 3-D Man to form the 1950s Avengers under Woo's guidance and with Namora's assistance, but that reality was wiped from existence by Immortus.
bio_text= The daughter of an Atlantean man and a surface woman, Aquaria Neptunia was nicknamed "Namora" in honor of her cousin Namor. During her early adolescence, Namora moved to the Atlantis Antarctic capital with her father and became a playmate of Namor. A few years later, Namora and her father relocated to a northern colony and were absent when Atlantis was increasingly drawn into surface activities.

In 1946, Namora's skin, formerly the typical Atlantean blue, faded to a Caucasian tone, and her father revealed her half-human heritage. Shortly afterward, she and her father returned to Antarctic Atlantis, where, in early 1947, the Brockton Gang, surface criminals led by Stoop Richards, invaded Atlantis in search of treasure, killing Namora's father. Namor and Namora took vengeance on Richards and his underlings. Namora continued to accompany Namor on adventures, fighting the schemes of their cousin Byrrah and such surface criminals as the mesmeric Doctor Macabre and the weapon-wielding Viking; on her own, she clashed with the Mummy Men of Tut-Ak-Mun and other threats.

In 1955, Namora married an Atlantean man named Talan. At some point following the formation of the adventurous Monster Hunters in 1956, Namora joined the team on some of their adventures; however, her marriage with Talan became strained when, due to her hybrid nature, she was unable to bear children. In late 1957, Namora persuaded the exiled Atlantean scientist Vyrra to implant her with an altered cloned embryo, enabling her to become pregnant. In 1958, Namora accompanied the Monster Hunters on a mission alongside other heroes, which brought her to the attention of FBI agent Jimmy Woo. Although she declined to join his group of super-powered agents, she pointed him in the direction of the Human Robot, laying dormant in the ocean. Soon after, Namora gave birth to her daughter, Namorita.

About this time, Namor went missing after a clash with the madman Destiny; Namora searched for him to no avail. In 1961, Namora and her family left Atlantis for the colony of Maritanis. Soon afterward, Talan was killed in an atomic bomb test, and Namora took their child to live in Lemuria. After several years, she became attracted to Lemuria's Prince Merro, leading her rival, the power-seeking Llyra, to poison her. Namora was believed to have died while Namorita was a pre-adolescent.

Recently, an aging Jimmy Woo was nearly killed in tracking down the Atlas Foundation, prompting his rescue and rejuvenation by his former allies in the 50s. Jimmy Woo and his allies began the search for the Atlas Foundation anew, and the Human Robot calculated that Namora was likely still alive, frozen in a cavern under the North Sea. Their investigation triggered a defense system of genetically engineered crustaceans, and they were saved by the Robot, who managed to thaw Namora from her icy coffin. (As a surface dweller/Atlantean hybrid, Namora's body had overcome the poison and only needed to be revived. Grateful, Namora pledged her loyalty to their cause, and they eventually uncovered the truth of the Foundation, which was led by Woo's archenemy, the Yellow Claw.

The Yellow Claw ceded control of the Foundation to Jimmy, who professed his determination to use such resources for the betterment of the world. He, Namora, and the other Agents of Atlas would become a clandestine force for good.
bio_text= Commissioned by Plan Tzu (a.k.a. Yellow Claw) as part of a complicated plan to establish his unwitting successor, FBI agent Jimmy Woo, as a great hero, the robot M-11 was completed in 1954 by an unidentified professor. Concerned at creating a killing machine completely under the control of Plan's Atlas Foundation, and pressured to hand over M-11 before he could complete the programming modifications he wanted, the scientist took the drastic step of having the robot electrocute him, correctly reasoning that somehow part of his displaced life essence would encode itself in its neural net, giving it free will and emotions. After slaying him, M-11 left the lab and walked into the sea, where it lay inert.
Four years later, Plan Tzu kidnapped President Elsenhower, and as he intended, Woo gathered together a team of "G-Men" to rescue him. M-11 had been found by the Atlantean Namora, while she was searching for her missing cousin Namor; she informed Woo of the machine, and he retrieved it. Its teammate Marvel Boy (Robert Grayson) used Uranian know-how to restore it to working order; M-11 worked with the group out of choice and a growing loyalty to Woo, but pretended to be controlled by a voice-activated radio device Woo carried. After a successful first mission, the G-Men worked together for another six months, battling foes such as the mysterious Foundation and the cosmic-ray mutated dog Laika, before instructions came from above to disband. M-11 was covertly retrieved by Plan Tzu, and over the succeeding decades it allowed him to make numerous upgrades to its systems.
Recently Plan Tzu moved to pass on his mantle to Woo. After Woo was critically injured while investigating Atlas, Plan convinced M-11 to enlist former teammates Gorilla Man, who got them in to the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility where Woo was being treated, and Grayson, whose alien technology restored Woo to health and youth after the trio broke Woo out. Initially unaware Plan Tzu was watching their every move through M-11's eye, Woo reformed the G-Men to discover the truth behind Atlas. M-11 deduced that Namora, long believed dead, was still alive, and led them to her frozen body, which it revived. After realizing Plan had been manipulating them and ordering M-11 to sever his connection to Plan, Woo led the G-Men to confront their opponent. Plan explained his actions, and ceded control of Atlas to Woo. M-11 currently remains with his former teammates as one of Woo's new Agents of Atlas.
}}{{bio|
bio_text= When Dee Milo was a teenager, her mutant powers manifested, transforming her into a being of energy and seemingly killing her entire family in the resultant explosion. She was found by Professor Charles Xavier, mutant mentor and researcher, and Xavier designed a special containment suit that helped her regain some level of humanity. Dee Milo suffered from tremendous guilt over her family's fate. She had tried to kill herself four times, been in therapy for eight years, and often resorted to sedation to stave off nightmares.

While remaining unsure of what to do with her abilities, Dee Milo was approached by the mutant agent Solomon O'Sullivan who wooed her with ideas of fame and fortune. She signed a contract with him as costumed hero Venus Dee Milo. O'Sullivan eventually helped create the team O-Force, a counterpart to the premiere pop culture mutant team X-Statix. About the same time, X-Statix' member U-Go Girl died in action, throwing the team into disarray. The Orphan, her lover, was thrown into a depression. He was forced to elect a replacement for her, and he agreed with the team to elect Venus Dee Milo, despite his initial reluctance due to her similarities to U-Go Girl.

However, Solomon O'Sullivan demanded that Venus Dee Milo should become a member of his O-Force, and the legal battles forced Dee Milo on the sidelines when O-Force attempted to stop the misguided mutant Arnie Lunt. The Orphan was determined to aid O-Force in their doomed mission, and he confronted the villain alone. Dee Milo was instrumental in reorganizing X-Statix to help the Orphan, freeing Lunt's town from his tyranny and saving O-Force, which was destroyed. X-Statix' owner Tike Freeman used the opportunity to force Dee Milo's agents to absolve her from association with O-Force.

Dee Milo continued to work with Professor Xavier, learning how to control her powers. She was often distraught over the fate of her parents, and she hoped that they had not perished in the explosion of her powers but were rather transported to and trapped in another dimension. Despite her many travels and the guidance of Professor Xavier, her family remained lost.

Dee Milo soon developed a romantic relationship with the Orphan. At one point, the Orphan quit the team and a criminal calling himself Bad Guy began terrorizing America. Believing Bad Guy to be the Orphan, unhinged, X-Statix publicly denounced Bad Guy and devoted their activities to defeating the villain. In fact, Bad Guy was a creature from a pocket dimension visited by Venus Dee Milo, taking the form of Dee Milo's fears. The Orphan reappeared to help X-Statix defeat Bad Guy, and he rejoined the team and his relationship with Dee Milo.

Professor Xavier later developed a containment suit that mimicked the human form enough for her to consummate her relationship with the Orphan. Feeling more complete than ever before, Dee Milo's euphoria allowed her to travel to a dimension where she discovered her family and had a happy reunion.

When X-Statix was forced to accept the pop sensation Henrietta Hunter into their ranks, Dee Milo was among those who were incensed with the situation. She was especially upset with the public pressure to make Henrietta the team’s leader. Henrietta’s European enemies decided to launch their next attack against X-Statix as a whole: leaking information that detailed how Spike Freeman and U-Go Girl sold weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein. X-Statix's public image was destroyed. The only way to repair their image was to take down Mister Code, and Dee Milo helped in defeating the villain.

Although X-Statix remained in the public eye for several months, things were never the same, especially since their prime source of financial backing, Spike Freeman, was dead. During the night of their farewell party, X-Statix agreed to take on one more mission, as it promised to be high-paying and low-risk. When the mission turned sour, the ranks of X-Statix were decimated. Dee Milo was presumably killed when she teleported an entire regiment of helicopters away, dispersing their molecules.
}}{{bio|
bio_text= For centuries, sailors told tales of ships being lured to destruction by the voice of a Siren, or naiad, a being serving an ocean element that fed on the men as they drowned. One ship, however, had a magician on board, and he stopped the Siren by transforming her into a complete being, "making her soul as beautiful as her physical form." Horrified by the destruction wrought by her actions, she eventually found solace at a monastery, where she served the nunnery, mute, for over two years. When she finally sang for the clergy, the emotions stirred were too disruptive, and she was asked to leave. Again wandering the world, the woman came to believe she was the immortal, beautiful, goddess Venus, imbued with the power of love. Her true nature and its terrible memories were submerged and forgotten.

In 1948, in search of adventure and romance, Venus found employment at Beauty Magazine, whose publisher, Whitney Hammond, doubted her claims of godhood but felt her beauty would provide good publicity. Romance blossomed between Venus and Hammond, although his secretary Della Mason often plotted to keep them apart. At first limited to magazine work and matchmaking endeavors, Venus soon clashed with various threats, beginning with an evil figure identified as Loki; other enemies included the gargoyles of Sylvia Corpo, nightmarish creatures from a co-worker's mind, the Olympian Neptunia, and a demonic vampire creature. At one point, she met government agent Jacob Scott, secretly the Skrull Velmax, later Effigy of the First Line. Eventually, realizing her immortality would place a wedge between her and Hammond, Venus abandoned her mortal identity.

During her time as an adventurer, Venus was approached by FBI agent Jimmy Woo, and she agreed to join Jimmy and his allies in freeing President Eisenhower from the clutches of the Yellow Claw. These "G-Men" operated for another six months, until the government decreed that the country wasn't ready to learn of such a super-team and its exploits.

At some point in the 1980s, her former teammate Gorilla Man returned to his place of origin in Africa. He recounted to Venus horrible stories of the atrocities brought upon by centuries of tribal warfare. Venus took it upon herself to aid the region, using her powers to help unite the warring factions until, years later, they had intermarried and became a blending of the two factions. Venus stayed with these people for many years until Jimmy Woo again recruited allies, this time to help him search for the Atlas Foundation. During the search, Namora revealed the secret about Venus' true nature, having known of the legend of the Siren. The revelation nearly crippled Venus emotionally and threatened to tear the team apart, but she was calmed by Jimmy Woo.

The trail eventually led to Mr. Lao, a literal dragon working on behalf of the Yellow Claw. The Claw revealed that Jimmy was a true descendant of Genghis Khan, and he revealed that he became Jimmy's greatest enemy in order to help him build a legend worthy of his lineage. In fact, Jimmy's adventures with his allies had been set up by the Claw and Mr. Lao from the very beginning! For example, it was the Yellow Claw who chartered the fleet that held the magician who transformed the Siren into Venus so many years ago.

Jimmy Woo took control of the Atlas Foundation. However, he professed his determination to use such resources for the betterment of the world. He, Venus, and the other Agents of Atlas would become a clandestine force for good.
