We really need a universe template. (Builder/Designer: The Big Bang?!) sononsj 19:50, 9 May 2006 (EDT)
It was created with the place template. --Viper 19:58, 9 May 2006 (EDT)
sononsj deleted the opening line "The Marvel Universe would be just like any other universe, if it were not for the presence of fantastic superhuman beings, the supernatural, and the cosmic" because "countless other universes are similar." I just thought the Marvel Universe entry could have used some flavored text to make it to point out that it's a bit more "special" than our own reality, with which I was comparing it to in that line. (I think I originally wrote "just like our own universe" but that wouldn't fit the writing guidelines.) IMO, the "countless other universes" that sononsj says are similar are only similar because they are derivitive of the main Marvel Universe, if that makes any sense. Anyway, just pointing out my justification for opening with a line like that. --Danny Waah! 01:34, 14 June 2006 (EDT)
Danny, Sononsj - why not a compromise: "The Marvel Universe is reknown for the presence of fantastic superhuman beings, the supernatural, and the cosmic." ? I encourage flavorful writing, so long as it's accurate. --MikeFichera 08:56, 14 June 2006 (EDT)
I think that it is way to long we should make it shorter what do you think? --xavfra2006
I think that since this Wiki is not paper (I'm borrowing a Wikipedia concept here), we can make it as long as we want it to be. Although I recognize that Help:Posting directs us to be concise, as long as the information presented in the article is useful and accurate, it doesn't necessarily have to be short. This particular article, by the very nature of what it is about, is certainly going to be a longer article than, say, an article on Big Wheel. --Lonesome Pinky 18:56, 11 July 2006 (EDT)
ya your right its not too long --[[User:xavfra2006|xavfra200
Darn right! Its is way to long. I sit here evey day wondering what I am going to look up next.
The marvel universe is my favorite page of the site, is very cool, have a lot of interesting stuff(specially the bios of heroes and villians)keep in that way.
Shouldn't there be a disambiguation page for "Marvel Universe", since there are so many alternate versions of that mainstream reality? --abcdefghijklmno 21:01, 4 August 2006 (EDT)
No it shouldn't, because Marvel Universe is Earth-616 and those other universes are some other desicnation and arent named Marvel Universe. Also disambiguation pages are only for characters not anything else. --Wezqu 21:12, 4 August 2006 (EDT)
I'm sure this topic was brought up before but I wanna be cleared and hope thta stan himslef could answer this question for me. How come the comics that I read and loved never seem to follow the stories of the cartoons or movies? Why does it have to change? I mean I was caught up on those comics for a reason. The suspense and drama that rolled up on those images kept me buying more and more. So why does all these stories seem to change when it hits the cartoon or movies? I just recently saw Ultimate Avengers. I don't think that this was part of the comics but there are a group called the Avengers. Now I was just curious, in this movie, about Dr. Banner. Why was he drawn that way, he looks like a geek, nerd. Even the Hulk knew the difference between right and wrong, and for the most part, the Hulk is a good guy. He seemed to act like a bad guy in this one.
Xmen, how many of you have seen Xmen 3? What do you think of that movie? I like the effects but hate the story. Cyclops gets killed, and by Jean? what the heck is that all about. From what I can remember, the pheonix was stopped by rogue wasn't she? that's how rogue got her super strength and flight abilities. So what happenned in the movie? How many of you out there are as fustrated as me? --reddawn
You've probably already realized this, but the message boards are probably a better place to address questions such as these. Cheers, --Lonesome Pinky 11:38, 25 December 2006 (CST)
Is it just me or is the image for this profile corrupt? --Lonesome Pinky 17:09, 26 January 2007 (CST)
Okay, I fixed it. The original was a gif and so maybe that was the problem. --Danny Waah! 19:28, 26 January 2007 (CST)
