Veda can summon humanoid creatures ("golems") out of any organic material in the vicinity to do her bidding. She can use her "multisight" ability to see through the golems' eyes, and forms a motherly attachment to them, often felling hurt whenever one is destroyed.

Born to a German father and a Mexican mother, Neuntauben suffered from an illness as a child that rendered her unable to reproduce. Falling in love with tae kwon do and orphans, she became an accomplished martial artist, then a model, and later an actress, which she donated all of her proceeds to her charity. Her charitable work made her a prime candidate for recruitment into the Order.
