The scientists Morlak, Zota, and Shinski of the Enclave, along with the mysterious Mr. Smith, were determined to use their unparalleled geniuses to create a savior who would usher in the utopia they had long sought to bring into the world. That savior was to be Adan Warlock.
The scientists used their genius to create a cocoon, which birthed the golden warrior Adam Warlock. He quickly rebelled against his creators. Warlock befriended Janie Chin. This new savior was merciless in his ways to cure the ills of the planet. Janie pleaded with him to rethink his course of actions. It was soon revealed this new Warlock was nothing but a fraud. The real Adam Warlock appeared revealing himself to be Mr. Smith all along, and with the help of the Enclave's technology, he transformed Janie into a female version of himself. She also attempted to cure the planet, but fared worse than the first Warlock. Unable to stop the people from destroying themselves or the planet, she considered resorting to being a vengeful god, but it was against her good nature. She flew off never to be seen again.
