Wolverine Anime Trailer

Just saw it, and you know, im kind of torn, as an anime it looks interesting, but to call it wolverine.. id have to see it befor i pass judgment. i like the idea and concept and am looking forward to what this brings to the table. Marvel has the talent to pull this off so ill guess we'll see what happens. on a personal note if they would incorporate :dead: into this story, just because seeing him drawn into anime and his style seems appropriate for the genre. but with or without him im still looking forward to this title coming out.

Total crap! he has long hair, no mutton chops, never says bub, doesnt dress like logan, has white in his hair...... the list goes on and on! WTF marvel!? WTF!? This isnt wolverine, and the fact that u let madhouse screw him up that bad is essentially you flipping us fans off. Deadpool in wolverine origins was bad enough, but this is just disgraceful! he doesnt even fight real enemies! he fight average scifi fantasy anime demons! it looked more like a lameass wolverine ripoff video game than wolverine. i AM NOT looking forward to this blemish on wolverines career being released. not based on this commercial anyway.

What the heck is that? That's Wolverine!?! Man well the Iron Man trailer looked good so I figured this would be cool but...if I wanted this I'd just watch Devilman....

ok so it isn't like regular wolverone. however that doesn't mean its bad. i'm interested to see what the obvious changes & any we don't yet know about will do to the character.

Wow, wow, really? Serious Marvel? You guys must really hate your characters. It's one thing to "alter" a character's apearance it's another to obliterate! Country bumpkin mullet guy with giant rat tail? That's Wolverine? Where is the character respect in this.......guy? It looks like a tranny. I hope this fails in sales horribly so you learn to respect the gems you've been given.

I'm sorry guys, but I disagree. I thought it was great! I agree it looks totally different, but look at it from a different perspective. I like anime. It comes from a completely different culture than Marvel usually writes for. I like it's differences and am looking forward to their ideal of Wolverine. I recommend that if you are interested, check out a few good animes before watching this. I like Ruruni Kenshin, very good story, lots of good action, some good examples of that culture's sense of entertainment and how they view their heroes. There are plenty of good titles out there, give them a try, then try watching Wolverine with a different point of view? I know I'm going to enjoy it and I hope you will too.

Me personally, i like some annie, but i think they seriously messed up Logen. I'm not tellen marvel not to try annie, but wolverine is a 5'3" 190lbs. trash talken , hairy, killen machine. this knew wolverine looks like a cup cake. that been seid, the show does look pritty bad a**. but I think marvel should had pic a better character. I might watch it just because it based of Wolverine. I'll just imagine its some one else, mabe wolverines love child from japan

On that note it does look alot more like a re-imagining of Daken (wolvie's japanese love child) than it does Wolverine, maybe i'll pretend thats who it's about. Ohh and just a lil side note for those who felt Wolverine wouldn't make sense as an anime, don't forget he is trained in the arts of the samurai, could possibly make a cool tale... At least the Iron Man clip looked pretty promising

I don't know why a lot of the people leaving comments seem to have such a negative impression of this future series. I personally think that it will be nice to see a new take on a traditional story. One of the biggest issues taht people seem to be having is that it doesn't look like the traditional wolverine. My issue with this idea is taht Anime is a different style of animation that changes the dynamic of how you watch it. BEyond that fact It seems like wolverine is younger and in a Japanese enviroment so it is a very real possibility that this is a retelling of his time in Japan which could be the reason for his younger look. I just had to air my grievances with the people who instantly shot down the show because of a style that is near to my heart.
