Logan is haunted by an eerie dream�a remnant of his fragmented memories. To get to the bottom of what happened to him, he enlists the help of Emma Frost. With her assistance, Logan is able to locate and return to the place that he keeps dreaming of. But he should never have returned, because now his past knows where to find him. Nighcrawler makes it to Genosha, where he's welcomed with open arms by Magneto, and Magneto's daughter, the Scarlet Witch. At first the island paradise seems to be the perfect haven for mutants, but Nightcrawler soon discovers that Genosha has a dark side. Now Nightcrawler must evade Magneto's mutant acolytes, and figure out a way to get a warning to Wolverine and the X-Men.

In the future, Sentinels capture Xavier and place him in a detention camp. But worse, they also take possession of the mutant tracking device, Cerebro. To get it back, Xavier must gather the help of other mutant prisoners, and with this new band of X-Men fight his way into the heart of the Sentinel stronghold. But once they're inside, they still need a way out...

Xavier gives Wolverine and the X-Men a mission that goes against everything they believe. They must not only save the Brotherhood, but also deliver an innocent mutant into the hands of the MRD. And if they fail � half the world's mutants will be wiped out.That's because the Brotherhood has boldly snatched the perfect living weapon from the MRD prisons � Nitro, a mutant who causes huge energy detonations. When the Hulk is spotted on a destructive rampage in the Canadian wilderness, Nick Fury, director of the organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D., blackmails Wolverine into taking the savage monster down� permanently. But as Wolverine confronts the Hulk, he begins to realize all is not as it seems�there is more than one monster on the loose in the wild. Now, as if a full-on fight with the Incredible Hulk wasn't bad enough, Wolverine has to deal with a pack of creatures more savage than him OR the Hulk� the Wendigo.

Cargo ships have a booming side business � ferrying desperate refugee mutants to the island of Genosha. But when Nightcrawler realizes the refugees are mistreated, he secretly boards one ship and teaches the captain and crew a lesson. It seems like he has the situation in hand until the ship is boarded� by pirates. These modern day marauders have made a practice of scuttling ships and abducting the mutants onboard. It's up to Nightcrawler to defeat the pirates and save the refugees in a battle on the high seas.

When Forge's new creation � a collar designed to inhibit mutant powers � is stolen by master thief-for-hire Gambit, Wolverine must track him down and recover it. But when he finds Gambit, he discovers that the collar has already been sold�to a buyer working for Senator Kelly. Now Wolverine and Gambit must team up in order to steal back the collar before it can be reverse engineered and used against mutants everywhere.

Communicating telepathically with Professor Xavier in the future, Wolverine learns that Africa is about to be wiped out � by Storm. The X-Men rush to Africa to find their friend, but the trouble has already begun. Possessed by a psychic entity known as The Shadow King, Storm now thinks her homeland is burning, and is using the full scope of her powers to douse the flames. Wolverine must act quickly if he's to prevent the destruction of an entire continent�but to stop Storm without hurting her, Wolverine will need to find a way to free her mind from Shadow King's clutches.

Just as construction of the new Xavier Institute is completed, the beautiful Emma Frost shows up at the gate and bargains her way onto the team by locating the missing Professor X for them. Using Cerebro She is able to detect him on the mutant island of Genosha. Wolverine immediately launches a full rescue mission to recover their lost mentor, but infiltrating Genosha will mean going up against one of the the X-Men's most dangerous enemies�Magneto.

As the BROTHERHOOD stokes the fires of mutant hysteria, SENATOR KELLY tries to gather support for his Mutant Registration Act. Meanwhile, WOLVERINE is finding it more difficult than expected getting the X-MEN back together. Most of the team is still unaccounted for, and those that Wolverine can find refuse to join the new team. The disillusioned ROGUE has even taken up with the Brotherhood. But when the Brotherhood plans to go after Senator Kelly at a press conference, the conflicted Rogue must make a difficult decision about where her loyalties really lie.

A year after a mysterious explosion destroyed the Xavier Institute and broke up the weary X-Men � an embittered WOLVERINE has lost himself on the open road, haunted by the unexplained fate of the missing Professor X and Jean Grey.

Yuriko's alien discovery, a Shi'ar vessel, turns out to be a prison cell containing a voracious, gaseous prisoner, the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker. It immediately sucks life out of Yuriko and her cohorts, the Reavers, and turns its attention to the X-Men. The X-Men must change their strategy to defeat an enemy they can't touch.

Garokk fuses with the island's volcano and the surging planetary force below it, bringing the island to the edge of destruction. Realizing his mistake, Sauron engages Garokk in battle and eventually manages to absorb Garokk's immense power. Will the X-Men allow Sauron to defeat Garokk and risk losing Storm? Or Will Garokk's might be too much for Sauron and the X-Men?

Cable comes to the present to stop Bishop and save his own future world. But after a one-sided fight against Bishop and the X-Men, Cable realizes that they might be too powerful to handle on his own. Looking for an alternative, Cable looks into the X-Men's history and discovers that Logan's healing factor may be the key to saving the future.

The Shadow King lures Storm home to Mt. Kilimanjaro by 'possessing' her young spiritual son Mjnari. Rogue and Storm must travel to Africa to stop the Shadow King and find a way to lure him back into the Astral Plane.

"Cajun Spice": Gambit kidnaps Rogue, telling her he's there to help her forget her troubles. But little does she know that Gambit has ulterior motives. When the X-Men realize Rogue is missing, Wolverine smells Gambit's scent and the team sets out after her. Meanwhile, Gambit uses Rogue to help him rescue his foster father.

Realizing that he is slowly losing control, Wolverine quits the X-Men and returns to the rural Japan of his younger days in an effort to find himself. He works peacefully with a former spiritual teacher, the monk Oku, to build a temple. But when the neighboring village is threatened by a group of bandits led by the Silver Samurai, Wolverine is faced with the difficult decision to risk losing control in order to help the villagers.

A cryptic postcard unleashes a flood of maddening and painful memories in Wolverine that threaten to drive him insane. To keep his mind from being torn apart, Wolverine and Beast travel to the one location that may hold the answers to his hidden past: the ruins of the top-secret Weapon X lab.

Flashback to World War II as Wolverine reminisces about his time in the service fighting alongside Captain America. A scientist has been kidnapped by the Red Skull and the two heroes must team up to infiltrate a Nazi base to save his life!

"The Cauldron" Part One: Under the impression that Cyclops' brother died 10 years ago, using Cerebro, Professor Xavier and Cyclops discover that Alex Summers, Havok, is in fact alive and well. In a race to get to Havok before Magneto can draft him, Wolverine and the X-Men are pitted against Sabretooth and the Brotherhood.

"The Cauldron" Part Two: After an epic battle against the Brotherhood, the X-Men are transported to Magneto's base on Asteroid M. Here Magneto's evil plans for the future of mutant kind are set in motion. Now Scott must convince his brother and help stop Magneto before it's too late.
