Amaranth Casts Her Spell In Artgerm's 'New Champions' #1 Cover

This January, a new super hero team sets out to change the world in NEW CHAMPIONS! Written by Steve Foxe (SPIDER-WOMAN, TIMESLIDE) and drawn by Ivan Fiorelli (DAREDEVIL: WOMAN WITHOUR FEAR, TIMESLIDE), the new ongoing series will assemble the Marvel Universe’s hottest new young heroes, including many of the characters introduced in last year’s New Champions Variant Cover series.

Among the group is the Scarlet Witch’s mysterious new apprentice, Amaranth, who fans can see now on a spellbinding NEW CHAMPIONS #1 variant cover by best-selling cover artist Stanley “Artgerm” Lau.

NEW CHAMPIONS begins with Liberty, Hellrune, Moon Squire, and Cadet Marvel, but will expand quickly over the first arc of the series as more New Champions, including Amaranth, answer the call! But not all are destined to be heroes and some have dark connections to established Marvel lore that could spell disaster for the fledging team before they can get off the ground. Before the launch of NEW CHAMPIONS, readers will meet Amaranth in next week’s SCARLET WITCH (2024) #6 by Steve Orlando and Lorenzo Tammetta. At Agatha Harkness’ request, Amaranth is placed under the tutelage of Wanda. Can this budding sorceress tap into her mystical potential in time to aid the New Champions against their first threat? Or will her training be cut short when her secret origin is revealed?
