Creators Give Us an Inside Look at ‘Marvel’s Voices: Legacy’
Danny Lore, Tochi Onyebuchi, and Stephanie Williams discuss what readers can expect in the upcoming anthology!
Marvel host Angélique Roché leads a creative discussion with writers Danny Lore, Tochi Onyebuchi, and Stephanie Williams, giving fans an inside look at the upcoming new anthology comic, MARVEL'S VOICES: LEGACY #1. Listen to the chat above then pick up the comic on shelves next Wednesday, February 24!
Each creator were established in their own right, as well as deep Marvel fans. Marvel editors reached out to each of them and got to select the character they wanted to explore. Onyebuchi chose Domino. Williams knew instantly she had to write about her favorite character Monica Rambeau. And Lore had the opportunity to write two stories — one around Blade, and one about Storm.
Kicking off the talk, each creator gave a one sentence elevator pitch to their story. "One night in Madripoor, Domino has a pretty interesting card game," shares Onyebuchi. "Monica Rambeau's mom needs to run errands; and she drags her along and some Avengers," states Williams. For their Blade story, Lore reveals, "A couple of kids get some help at the bodega," and for the second, "Storm helps a young girl who has recently been dealt kind of a terrible blow by the world."
