“Everything’s Coming Up Aces” Starring Gwenpool
Written by MARIEKE NIJKAMP
Art by PABLO COLLAR
Colors by MICHAEL WIGGAM
“When Sarah Brunstad offered me a spot on MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE and pitched Gwenpool to me, I immediately leaped at the opportunity," shared Marieke Nijkamp. "I love Gwen for her wonderful meta chaos, and getting to write an aroace super hero as an aroace writer is truly magical. These are the types of stories that make readers feel seen, and it's more important than ever to have such an amazing celebration of proudly queer and trans heroes and unflinching joy!”
"I couldn't be happier making my Marvel debut with this comic," revealed Pablo Collar. "Super Heroes are, at the end, a source of inspiration, especially for younger ones who find themselves reflected in these characters and that makes stories like this essential. And Gwen is hilarious!"
A New Nightshade Debuts in "What May Bloom"

An all-new hero takes on the classic mantle of “Nightshade” to protect her Chicago community in a rousing story by writer Stephanie Williams and artist Héctor Barros. Fans can see her for the first time on superstar artist Phil Jimenez’s MARVEL’S VOICES: PRIDE #1 variant cover!
"I'm beyond thrilled to contribute to this year's MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE. It's an honor to share space with creators I admire, especially in an anthology that celebrates LGBTQIA+ stories," said Stephanie Williams. "All of this makes me so excited to introduce a brand new character who finds strength in the support she receives from her community as she redefines the Nightshade legacy.”
"For Nightshade I wanted to design something simple, functional and distinctive: she's a legacy character in many ways, and I wanted her costume to reflect that. I've loved every step of the process, and I'm very proud of the end result," explained Héctor Barros.
"Marvel always felt like an accepting place, a home filled with found family, and that meant a lot to me growing up. Having the chance to contribute to its long history, and in a Pride issue no less, is a lifelong dream come true."
Web-Weaver in "Purim Spiel"
Written by KATHERINE LOCKE
Art by JOANNA ESTEP
Colors by MANUEL PUPPO
The Spider-Verse’s most fabulous super hero is back to slay another day in an all-new Web-Weaver adventure by writer Katherine Locke and artist Joanna Estep.
"I'm so thrilled to be a part of MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE this year! I loved getting to know Cooper and delving into another facet of his identity, especially our shared Jewish heritage and our shared queerness. It was really special to be a part of this," explained Katherine Locke.
“As a queer creator I'm used to having to censor myself and to suppress drawing the things I relate to and enjoy. So while drawing Cooper, I kept having moments where I felt like ‘oh no, I've gone too far, I can't do that, I've made him too flamboyant.’ But then I'd just look back at the character references I received to work from (Cooper's amazing fashions, for example), and feel reassured that I was on the right track. It was incredibly satisfying,” said Joanna Estep.
Wiccan and Hulking Go "Everywhere"
Written by SHADI PETOSKY
Art by ROBERTA INGRANATA
Colors by CECI DE LA CRUZ
Emmy-winning TV writer Shadi Petosky (The Sandman) pens her first Marvel Comics story alongside artist Roberta Ingranata! Wiccan and Hulkling are on a much-needed getaway when the beloved couple finds themselves stranded. Luckily, they befriend an all-new super hero who lends a helping hand! Meet Lacie Lorraine and learn about her fascinating origins in a riveting journey across space and time.
“I was road-tripping and lost my mind when Marvel offered this writing debut. Perfect timing," shared Shadi Petosky. "Cause ya know how you’ll be at a ranch supply store in the middle of Wyoming to try to fix a fossil screen – expecting a hate crime – but instead, a fabulous done-up queer employee turns the corner to ask if you need help?
"I wrote this too-intensely packed and personal transy yarn to remind my people – we are EVERYWHERE. Across cultures, species, space, ranch stores, time, and universes. And it’s all framed by my constant mushy feelings toward Hulkling and Wiccan’s love. Enjoy!”
“It was a real honor for me to be able to participate in this project, I've been a big fan since the first MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE and I'm happy to be able to participate this year," added Roberta Ingranata. "It's a topic that I personally feel a lot about, so it has a special value to draw these pages. Drawing Wiccan and Hulkling was really exciting, also because Wiccan is one of my favorite characters! I will admit that I got the most excitement drawing Lacie Lorraine and introducing her to this new world. I hope for this character that her life will be long and full of adventures!”
"Be Gay, Do Crime" Starring Black Cat

Join Felicia Hardy at New Orleans Pride where a score for untold riches pits her against the Thieves Guild in a story by writer Sarah Gailey and artist Bailie Rosenlund.
“I couldn't be more excited to write this Black Cat story for MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE! Felicia Hardy is more than just a queer master thief at the top of her game – she's also a deeply driven woman who pursues her passions no matter where they lead. She's an icon and a role model, and I'm absolutely honored to be making my Marvel Comics debut with her in the spotlight,” revealed Sarah Gailey.
"I’ve always loved Black Cat – ever since I watched my brother play Spider-Man for the PS1 when we were kids," explained Bailie Rosenlund. "Being able to draw her in action is a bit of a dream come true! As a queer person who has struggled with identity my whole life, it is truly an honor to help bring queer stories to others who need them, just as much as I do."
Meet Muzzle in "No Trespassing: Beware of Dog"
Written by H.E. EDGMON
Art by LORENZO SUSI
Colors by KELLY FITZPATRICK
Author H.E. Edgmon (The Witch King) and artist Lorenzo Susi introduces a wild new symbiote character: MUZZLE! See Spidey learn the hard way that this is one symbiote baddie you don’t want to mess with when he has a run-in with Muzzle and his crew of vigilantes!
“The opportunity to participate in the MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE anthology has been an actual dream come true, and I can’t wait for the world to meet Muzzle, our symbiote hybrid of mysterious origin," teased H.E. Edgmon. "Bringing a Native and trans character and his crew of queer punk vigilantes into Marvel canon has been a joyride. I hope readers will resonate with Muzzle’s snark, his angst, and of course, his homoerotic monstrousness.”
“First of all, I am very proud to be contributing to MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE for the second time. Also, I believe it is incredibly important to be giving voice to characters from the LGBTQIA+ community while also celebrating those identities that do not yet have full visibility in the entertainment scene," added Lorenzo Susi. "That's why I am so happy to have drawn the character of Muzzle, together with his crew’s leader, Peach. It’s a great challenge and honor I am excited for!”
“Jumbo Carnation’s Ultimate Creations”
Story and Art by STEPHEN BYRNE
Jumbo Carnation shows off his latest fashions in a story written and drawn by Stephen Byrne!
“I'm super excited to get to write and draw a story for this year's Marvel Pride celebration. Jumbo Carnation is an iconic queer character that provides lots of opportunity for humor, and hopefully some heart,” said Stephen Byrne.
Gimmick in "Today's Lesson"
Written by STEVE FOXE
Art by ROSI KÄMPE
Colors by KELLY FITZPATRICK
Writer Steve Foxe and artist Rosi Kämpe bring Gimmick, the breakout character from 2020’s CHILDREN OF THE ATOM, to the forefront along with more fan-favorite X-Men students for a prelude story to DARK X-MEN, a new series launching during FALL OF X!
“As a gay creator – and reader – it means a lot to see Marvel supporting an annual spotlight on queer creators and characters each Pride Month I've wanted to contribute since the first issue was announced and couldn't be more excited that I'm doing so alongside Rosi Kämpe and Kelly Fitzpatrick for our Gimmick story," teased Steve Foxe. "Carmen Cruz represents a very unique perspective on the Krakoan era, given her background. I'm glad we get to give her a big, bold, fun adventure before the shadow of DARK X-MEN falls over her this August. Plus she's not the only young, queer mutant who gets a chance to shine in our story!”
“I was so happy to be invited to contribute to MARVEL'S VOICES: PRIDE! Events like this mean a lot to me," shared Rosi Kämpe. "It was great fun showing this fledgling team of young mutants struggle at their first real mission together – and it's especially exciting to show off Gimmick's new costume!”
In addition, Marvel's PRIDE VARIANT COVERS are back, featuring both Marvel heroes and characters from a galaxy far, far away!
