'Rogue & Gambit' #3 First Look Boasts Action, Romance, and Mind-Controlled Mutants
In a special first look at 'Rogue & Gambit' #3, Gambit gets a visit from Wolverine and Rogue finds herself up against a group of mind-controlled superhumans.
Rogue and Gambit are on a mission from Destiny—and it has gone terribly, terribly wrong.
In Stephanie Phillips and Carlos Gómez's ROGUE & GAMBIT, Destiny came to Rogue with an urgent request: find Manifold and convince him to come to Krakoa. Rogue reluctantly agreed and, much to Destiny's displeasure, Gambit decided to tag along as well. They found Manifold in the middle of his own mission to track down kidnapped superhumans—and he quickly got kidnapped himself! Now, Rogue and Gambit are on the case, hoping to find Manifold before disaster strikes Krakoa. And to make matters worse, they have to clear their own names as well…because the Avengers believe they're the ones that took him!
ROGUE & GAMBIT (2023) #3 finds the titular duo in search of a new lead on Manifold, whose trail has gone cold. Along the way, the tension in their marriage will bubble up and then spill over when Gambit realizes Rogue has been keeping secrets from him. Will these secrets tear them apart? And can Rogue and Gambit take on an army of mind-controlled mutants all by themselves?
In a special first look at ROGUE & GAMBIT #3, Destiny gazes over the New York City skyline, until Mystique approaches and takes her hand. One page shows Wolverine joining Gambit in the fight against a Sentinel, while Gambit takes Rogue by surprise with a kiss in another. Finally, Rogue finds herself up against mind-controlled foes like Electro, Absorbing Man, and Juggernaut in an ominous spread.
