'Storm' #1 First Look Traps Ororo Under the Sea
In a special first look at 'Storm' #1, Ororo and the X-Men's dream day by the sea turns into a watery nightmare.
Thief. Goddess. Leader. Ororo Munroe has been many things, and she will need all those skills to survive her latest adventure in groundbreaking creator Ann Nocenti and Sid Kotian's upcoming STORM miniseries!
A five issue limited series, STORM will revisit Ororo's punk era, bringing back her iconic mohawk and black leather suit. The series, which takes place around the time of UNCANNY X-MEN (1963) #176, will pit her against an elemental power that pushes the limits of even her mighty abilities. Behold Storm's next evolution as she faces down a new villain that threatens to tear her apart from her team…and what she thought she knew about herself!
In a special first look at STORM #1, Ororo reflects on her time before the X-Men as well as her present days with them. One page shows her at a beachside fair with Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine, while another finds the team enjoying the surf. However, their dream day at the beach turns into a nightmare in a page that sends her spiraling into the depths of the ocean. Finally, she zips over to the docks on a motorcycle during a rainstorm, which quickly turns to hail and threatens to crush her. Additionally, Alan Davis' STORM #3 cover reveals Ororo leading the charge against Blowback, her new adversary.
