The Power Pack Return to Marvel Comics This August for a Brand New Adventure
Marvel veterans Louise Simonson and June Brigman join forces for 'Power Pack: Grow Up' #1!
This August, a classic Marvel super group will make its return -- veteran Marvel creators Louise Simonson and June Brigman are teaming up for POWER PACK: GROW UP #1, a new adventure for Marvel's young heroes that hits stands on Wednesday, August 28! Simonson will write a new story featuring Alex, Julie, Katie, and Jack Power, and Brigman will provide the interior art. Simonson will team up with Gurihiru for a special bonus short story! Here is the cover by Brigman:
In POWER PACK: GROW UP #1, the children of the Power family will be joined by Wolverine and Kitty Pryde after a Brood invasion crashes a concert. Can the Power Pack overcome their own obstacles so they can work together to save the world? You'll have to read the issue when it goes on sale Wednesday, August 28!
The Power Pack first appeared in 1984 and ended its run in 1991. Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski reminisced about his first experience reading the POWER PACK series: “I remember the joy I felt reading POWER PACK #1 when it was first published, and the sadness of hitting the last page of the final issue of their original run, so it’s a thrill to be able to reunite Louise and June to tell untold tales with Alex, Julie Jack and Katie from that time period -- and to also have Gurihiru contributing a story bridges these two acclaimed generations of Power family fun, making this a perfect project to commemorate Marvel’s 80th Anniversary!”
