Whether it's how Marvel comics are made, hidden gems, or cosplay culture, there's something for every kind of Marvel fan this new series.
Check out Marvel’s 616 Comic-Con@Home panel above!
The panel, which features episode directors Gillian Jacobs and Paul Scheer, and executive producers Sarah Amos and Jason Sterman, along with moderator Angélique Roché, dives into the making of the anthology series.
“All of our characters have their own tone and their own vibe,” Amos explains during the panel. “We wanted to make sure we honored that same kind of tradition. The anthology nature of the series really made sense to us, because it allowed us to [focus on] each story and each storyteller, and then the next episode will take you on a completely different path.”
For the two episodes featured in the panel — Jacob’s “Higher, Further, Faster,” and Sheer’s “Lost and Found” — get an inside look at diversity in the Marvel Universe and what it takes to bring a new character to life, along what might have happened to your favorite forgotten characters from yesteryear.
To close out the panel, Amos reflected, “A lot of people have an idea of what Marvel fans and fandom looks like. Marvel has characters and creators that speak to every walk of life, and I do think this series really highlights that in a unique way that we haven’t been able to do in the past. I’m very very excited for everyone to watch it at home and see themselves reflected in the people on screen.”
Marvel's 616 will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ this Fall, and check out all the Comic-Con@Home coverage here!
