For Walt Disney World guests visiting "The Eternals" - Jack Kirby's Cosmic Series, you can get a glimpse of the original print issue #1 of the comic book that started it all.
In the '70s, Kirby reunited with some old friends in books like CAPTAIN AMERICA and BLACK PANTHER, but also began crafting all new stories in books like THE ETERNALS. Carrying on themes he previously explored in THOR, Kirby created a whole new breed of gods in the form of the Eternals, their monstrous enemies the Deviants, and the Celestials.
In that series, Kirby gave life to the likes of Ikaris, Sersi, Makkari, Sprite, Mentor, and the Forgotten One. Though initially more of a separate endeavor, the Eternals and their mythology have made their way into the main Super Hero universe. Something very similar will happen in 2020 on the big screen!
Unique photos and artifacts inspired by Jack’s process will be on display. And, this cosmic experience also includes a photo wall where you can pose with a few of the many characters from THE ETERNALS comic series.
Every year, comic book fans around the globe honor the late Disney Legend, Jack “King” Kirby on his birthday, August 28. What a great way to celebrate this year! Drop by the Walt Disney Presents attraction in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios now for a limited time!
