Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Expanded Marvel's New York

How do you commute to work? If you're like the two protagonists of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, you swing—or fly!

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, are really coming to your neighborhood in the highly anticipated sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvels Spider-Man: Miles Morales. In a new map that doubles the area of New York City, both Brooklyn and Queens have been added to Manhattan, making this the most expansive open world of Marvel's New York yet.

Check out the latest sneak peek video, in which Bryan Intihar (Senior Creative Director, Insomniac Games) narrates the amazing possibilities offered by the new expansion of the city, built to take full advantage of the PS5.

"Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is filled with an amazing story and story missions," said Intihar. "The first thing you'll notice is that our city has nearly doubled in size with the addition of two iconic New York boroughs: Queens and Brooklyn. And we've introduced the Web Wings, an entirely new mechanic that, when combined with web swinging, allows you to traverse the city in a whole new way and have faster speeds than ever before."

New Yorkers might even be able to recognize some locations from the game while playing!

"Whether it's a neighborhood backdrop of Queens, or the fireworks that light up the sky over Coney Island, exploring these areas will feel much different than the towering skyscrapers of Manhattan—while also delivering memorable locales like Peter Parker's old stomping grounds in Midtown High, and Miles Morales' current place of learning, Brooklyn Visions Academy."

"Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will introduce the ability to switch between the two wall-crawlers in the open world, and thanks to the power of the PlayStation 5, you can make that switch almost instantly."
