The Best Marvel Studios Moments of 2024

From ‘Agatha All Along’ to ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ 2024 was packed with memorable moments from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios Year in Review 2024

This year took Marvel fans from the X-Mansion to the Witches’ Road — with plenty of memorable stops in between.

2024 was a banner year for Marvel Studios, spotlighting new heroes and familiar faces alike. As the year comes to a close, we asked some folks around the Marvel office to share a few of their favorite Marvel Studios moments of 2024.

Here, we look back on the highlights that made us laugh, cry, and cheer.

'X-Men '97'

X-MEN ‘97

"As a longtime X-MEN reader and a Nightcrawler fan in particular, I was delighted to see Marvel Animation's X-Men '97 had it all — the drama, the action, the stakes! My favorite moment had to be Wolverine's POV shot as Nightcrawler teleported him in Episode 8: 'Tolerance Is Extinction, Part 2.' In addition to showing just how well these two characters work together, this moment offered us something we've never seen before in the comics: what it feels like to get bamf'd by Nightcrawler. I gasped when I watched it for the first time!" Meagan Damore, Sr. Content Programming Specialist, Marvel Unlimited

'Deadpool & Wolverine'

DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE

“My favorite MCU moment of the year is hands down watching Deadpool & Wolverine in Hall H alongside Comic Con-goers at SDCC. I felt like I was riding a rollercoaster with the exuberant screams and laughter echoing across the auditorium throughout the entire movie. The energy was unmatched!” —Andrea Lans, Manager, Digital Marketing

Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy have spoken about how  when writing jokes for Deadpool & Wolverine, it wasn’t enough to ‘hit singles and doubles.’ The jokes needed to be triples and home runs. And this movie proves, scene after scene, that no matter how hard you think you’re already laughing, you can always laugh harder.  Exhibit A: Deadpool is hilariously fitted for his new costume in montage, and then while making an absurd entrance he casually destroys with a truth bomb about the tailor. IYKYK.” —Brad Barton, Senior Manager of Audio Production and Development

“I loved Deadpool’s multiversal search for Wolverine. So many memorable classic comic callouts and cameos in that sequence — don’t worry, no spoilers!  But if you haven’t seen Deadpool & Wolverine yet, exactly what are you waiting for?! It’s on Disney+!” —Nick Proto, Associate Producer

“I loved all the cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine SO MUCH. (Spoilers ahead!) Cavillrine, Human Torch, Elektra, Blade, HEADPOOL. Even the Gambit that could have been?! What a joyful celebration of blood and delightful multiversal weirdness.”  —Lorraine Cink, Director of Made for Kids YouTube

'Echo'

ECHO

“I fell in love with Alaqua Cox’s portrayal of Maya Lopez when she first popped up in Hawkeye, so I was thrilled to see her step into the spotlight this year with Echo. The show brought killer action scenes and emotional family drama, anchored by Cox’s powerful performance (and the always-welcome return of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk). —Devan Coggan, Editor, Marvel.com

'Agatha All Along'

AGATHA ALL ALONG

“I’m forever thinking about the true crime procedural that leads us into the first episode and underlying mystery of Agatha All Along. Kathryn Hahn’s performance as an emotionally crushed but brilliant home-town detective is so funny purely because she plays it so straight. I would literally watch Kathryn Hahn watch paint dry and it would still be hilarious.” —Brendon Bigley, Manager, Digital Marketing

“The way I GASPED, SCREAMED, WEPT when Lilia sacrificed herself to save her coven from the Salem Seven in Episode 7 of Agatha All Along! That episode took us on a beautifully scattered emotional journey. It was perfect in every way, and Patti LuPone (to no one’s surprise) proved why she’s an icon. ‘I loved being a witch.’ Same! I miss this coven!” —Camille Dizon, Director, Digital Marketing

“The episode of Agatha All Along that focused on Patti LuPone’s character Lilia Calderu was my favorite moment of 2024. I knew Lilia's non sequiturs throughout the show were leading to something, and as all was slowly revealed in the impeccably plotted — and acted — episode, I got so excited and then so sad. What a journey!” —Kari Koeppel, Senior Copy Editor, Digital Marketing

“My favorite MCU moment this year has to be Agatha All Along Episode 7, specifically Patti LuPone's performance. Getting to experience her out-of-order perspective and her resolve in the face of fate, destiny, and Death gave me chills. Diva down.” —William Shammah, Editor, Marvel.com

“HOW DARE YOU ASK ME TO PICK MY FAVORITE MCU MOMENTS OF THE YEAR. What a year. Like everyone, I lost my ding-dang mind numerous times during Deadpool & Wolverine. What an amazing ride. But also? Episode 7 of Agatha All Along. That episode, those performances, those emotions have been with me since I first saw the episode for the first time. And then watching the world react to it as well? Just the best. And as good as this year has been? Oh dang. Just y’all wait.” —Ryan Penagos, Vice President, Digital Media & Creative Strategy

'What If...?' season 3

WHAT IF…? SEASON 3

“I love the weird pockets of the Marvel universe, and What If…? season 3 absolutely delivered. From Agatha’s Hollywood debut and team up with Kingo, to Howard the Duck’s nuptials, to Storm’s chills-inducing appearance — what an absolute banger of a finale!” —Jasmine Estrada, Audio Producer
