‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Wraps Filming

Star Chris Hemsworth celebrates the milestone on his Instagram!

It's a wrap!

In celebration of production wrapping on Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder and National Don't Flex Day, the God of Thunder Chris Hemsworth took to his personal Instagram account to mark both milestones. Anyone else feel the sudden need to head to the gym?

Posting a photo of himself on set as Thor with Oscar-winning director Taika Waititi (who also stars as Korg), Hemsworth captioned the photo, "That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate. The film is gonna be bats**t crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder! Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another incredible Marvel journey. Buckle in, get ready and see ya in cinemas!! @taikawaititi @marvelstudios 📷 @jasinboland."

Waititi also shared the above image adding, "And that's a wrap on Thor: Love and Thunder. ❤️➕⚡️ Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there's me and @chrishemsworth who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. Ok I don't look cool I know that. This film is the craziest thing I've ever done and I'm honoured to bust my ass and have a nervous breakdown so you can all see it in May 2022. @marvelstudios 📸: @jasinboland"

In the comments, Hemsworth and Waititi received congratulatory praise from many, including their Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars.

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye (Clint Barton), commented, "Congrats brother !!!"

While Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson cheered, "Congrats my brother 💪🏾🥃"

Leslie Jordan remarked, "I’m not scared. Without your hammer, you’re nuthin’"

Jamie Alexander, who plays Lady Sif, simply responded with "🙌🏻 🔨 ⚔️ 🔥" while Laura Headey added, "💥🙌💥"

Simu Liu, who plays the titular role in the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, responded, "Jesus Christ I need to get in shape."

Jason Momoa offered nothing but good vibes, "amazing ❤️❤️❤️"

Michael B. Jordan, who plays Killmonger, expressed what we're all thinking in 3 emojis, "🔥🔥🔥"

Ben Schwartz, who plays M.O.D.O.K.'s son Lou on Marvel's M.O.D.O.K., said, "Cant. Wait," and Rebel Wilson referred to the duo as, "Gods 👏👏."

Meanwhile, Hemsworth's brother Luke took the opportunity to rib the duo, "It is a joy to watch two people expand in so many ways. None of those ways that you both expanded are healthy but still I laugh and think 'wow they really expanded!.' But then I remember I too expanded and I’m left feeling responsible for expansion on all sides. Bravo fellas. To Infini and beyond. Just kidding you look epic."

During The Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day late last year, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed Christian Bale joins the cast of the fourth film in the Thor franchise as Gorr the God Butcher, alongside Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) returning to their roles.

Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on May 6, 2022!
