For a look at where we were before episode 7, we deputized Marvel.com writer (and first-time listener) Amanda Ames to keep up with the action as it's released. So here's a look at what went down in chapter 6...
A body may be on display, but our killer’s identity remains buried in chaos, needing to be catalogued with the rest of the information unearthed during this investigation.
With the alleged killer bear’s body hanging in the town square, many citizens of Burns are sleeping a little easier. But don’t be fooled by the charade, the game is still afoot and our agents aren’t the only ones preparing.
In this episode, Nicholas Prophet warns the town of an upcoming spiritual event. Mallory, Logan, and the Strawberry kids have teamed up to take on the Langrocks. And a young tribesman finds himself the key witness in the latest attack. It’s time to apply method to the madness and find our monster...
- Evidently, Burns is a mecca for the mystic, and the Aurora are only the most recent pilgrims seeking to utilize the land’s assumed power. Sitting in the middle of the disputed land auction’s borders is what natives call the Tarrack—a spiritual nexus that has been drawing worshipers to it for at least 20,000 years. And its exposure as a historical landmark could devastate the Langrock’s logging plans…among others. Though, considering it’s reputation with the locals, it may do more harm than the loggers do.
- It wouldn’t be a day in Burns without Sheriff Ridge muddling around behind the scenes, attempting to cover up some nefarious activity like the reputable sheriff he is. But this time Bobby has joined his crusade. The suspected drug operation can now be confirmed and to no surprise, the Langrocks and Sheriff Ridge are in cahoots with each other. However, Bobby wants to weasel his way into the fold and, once more, we’re reminded of the mysterious past he’s trying to keep under wraps.
- Dinah Moses may not be able to give us our mystery attacker while resting in a coma, but the bite marks on her body tell us one thing for sure: her attacker was human and has a bite radius nearly three times that of a large man—a size estimate corroborated by her son Johnny’s eyewitness testimony. And while the bite marks have ruled the bear out, the alternative is quite improbable. Now we’re looking for an “it” as tall as a basketball hoop with huge claws...
Could this monster be Logan in a fit of rage, a guardian of the Tarrack enraged by the site’s disturbance, or maybe an uncontrollable hit man designed by the mysterious Weapon X? It’s time to shed a little light on this long night before the darkness engulfs the entire town.
Take a look at the suspect list in the aftermath of chapter 6 with our Agent's Dossier...
