'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Star Elizabeth Henstridge Talks to Women of Marvel About Her Directorial Debut
“When somebody sees something in you and believes in you before you believe in yourself, it’s the most overwhelming feeling."
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is starting to wind down, but for one member of the cast, a new phase is just beginning! On this week's episode of Women of Marvel, Judy Stephens talks to Elizabeth Henstridge, best known for her acting work as Agent Jemma Simmons and now a multi-hyphenate as she makes her debut as a director! Henstridge directed this week's episode of the show and told Judy about the experience during an on-set visit. Here's a bit of what she had to say:
“When somebody sees something in you and believes in you before you believe in yourself, it’s the most overwhelming feeling. And it was a similar thing for directing. I really, really wanted to do it, and I fought hard for it, but at the end of the day, somebody has to go: ‘Yes. You.’”
