From the Ashes, Something Will Emerge From Sarge in New 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

In a brand new episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., our agents are out of answers and running out of time. In the penultimate episode, before next week's two-hour season finale on August 2, the team must face the ghosts of their past in order to move forward.

As seen in the promo above, Sarge is fed up with May's pleading that Coulson is still within him. May's grasping at hope following Deke and Fitz's postulation that the third monolith may be creation (in addition to time and space), and when Coulson went in and sealed up the Fear Dimension in Season 5, the three energies may have combined to create another Coulson through space and time a la Sarge.

However, Izel pleads with Sarge to wake up and join her. He's a being just like her, and he's been chasing her, not because he wants to destroy her, but that he yearns for her. His real name is Pachakutiq, and with Izel, they are two halves of a whole, and together, they can bring the Shrike to Earth with its billions of host bodies.

Like Izel, Daisy wants to wake up what's inside Sarge. Unlike May, she doesn't believe there's anything Coulson about him. She just wants to understand what he really is, especially if he's the only being strong enough to defeat Izel.
