He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
Joanne Whalley, the “Edge of Darkness” star, has been cast for Season Three of “Marvel’s Daredevil.” Whalley will portray Sister Maggie, a strong-willed nun who speaks her mind and cares deeply about Matt’s safety.
Whalley joins returning cast, Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), as well as Vincent D’Onofrio who is reprising his popular role as Wilson Fisk on the now Erik Oleson showrunner series.
“We are big fans of Joanne’s work and are fortunate that someone of her caliber will be joining our already talented family,” said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television.
“Joanne is a rare talent and a terrific creative collaborator,” added Erik Oleson, Showrunner and Executive Producer. “Watching her bring her role to life has the writers all pinching ourselves.”
All episodes of the first and second seasons of “Marvel’s Daredevil” are currently streaming on Netflix, with Season Three slated for release later this year.
