'Legion' Introducing David Haller's Parents, Professor X and Gabrielle
Harry Lloyd and Stephanie Corneliussen will play the integral characters in Season 3.
On the FX series "Legion," David Haller (Dan Stevens) certainly has many issues going back to his childhood, and now Season 3 will get to the root of the matter as we meet David’s parents, Professor X and Gabrielle.
The announcement regarding the long-awaited introduction to Charles was made by “Legion” Executive Producer/Showrunner Noah Hawley at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, as Hawley revealed Professor X will be played by Harry Lloyd and Gabrielle by Stephanie Corneliussen.
Lloyd, whose credits include “Doctor Who,” “Counterpoint,” and “Game of Thrones” (he played Daenerys’ scheming brother, Viserys Taergaryen, in the show’s first season) and Corneliussen, known for "Mr. Robot" and "Deception," will be introduced as Professor X and Gabrielle in guest roles in the show’s 8-episode third and final season, debuting in June.
Based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, "Legion" is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic only to discover that he may actually be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen.
Noah Hawley serves as Executive Producer on "Legion", along with John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. "Legion" is the latest project from Hawley and Cameron, two of the executive producers of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning FX anthology series "Fargo." "Legion" is produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television, with FXP handling the physical production.
