‘Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show’ Creators on Their Unexpected Team-Up Series
Chelsea Handler and Erica Rivinoja are bringing the two Marvel heroes to Hulu in a new animated series.
It was revealed this week that four new animated TV series are in the works from Marvel Television and Hulu, starring some notably oddball Marvel characters, which will lead into all of them teaming up in the special event on Hulu, “Marvel’s The Offenders.”
One of those four series is “Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show,” featuring the pairing of two distinct Marvel characters – Tigra, who first appeared as The Cat in 1972’s CLAWS OF THE CAT #1, before becoming Tigra in 1974’s GIANT-SIZE CREATURES #1, and Dazzler, who debuted in 1980’s UNCANNY X-MEN #130.
In “Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show,” two woke Super Heroes and best friends, Tigra and Dazzler, fight for recognition among powered people who make up the eight million stories in Los Angeles. “Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show” comes from writers Erica Rivinoja (“The Last Man on Earth,” “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2”) and actress/comedian Chelsea Handler (“Chelsea,” “Are You There, Chelsea?”), with Rivinoja, Handler, and Jeph Loeb serving as Executive Producers.

Asked about what it felt like to write the upcoming Hulu series, Rivinoja and Handler said, “We are so excited to be the token lady show in this lineup! And we’re so thrilled to finally bring the world the cat lady and roller skating pop star show that they've been begging for."
