Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph Discuss Cloak and Dagger's New Beginnings

In Episode 1 “Restless Energy,” listen above, hosts Lorraine Cink and Angélique Roché talk with the Divine Pairing—Olivia Holt (Tandy Bowen) and Aubrey Joseph (Tyrone Johnson)—about Tandy and Ty’s complex relationship and what to expect from their characters this season.

At the start of the new season, we get to see Ty and Tandy unite as a team. Joseph talked about how these two friends finally get to hang out. “Season One was really about you finding out who Ty is as an individual, and who Tandy is as an individual, and how they become friends,” divulged Joseph. “Now it starts from the jump like you’re going to see Ty and Tandy together a lot. That’s what fans really loved about the show and they finally get what they want.”

Friendship is complicated, and while the two heroes have trust, they also keep a lot from each other. “Ty and Tandy are best friends, and you really feel that in the second season,” explained Holt. “You start to understand their relationship a little bit more as the season goes on. Both of them are sort of in the wrong, but also sort of not in the wrong for wanting to keep it together. You have to remember at the end of the day, they’re kids who are struggling still and they’re going to be there for each other.”
