What Does ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Mean For ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’?
The cast and showrunners answer fan questions at WonderCon!
Through five seasons, fans of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” have seen it all—Daisy’s transformation into Quake, the fiery introduction of Ghost Rider, to adventures in space, and more—and the cast and crew took the stage at WonderCon to thank fans for watching though 100 episodes.
As panel host Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb led a thunderous chant of “We want more!” through the WonderCon Arena, it was clear that fans can’t wait for further adventures from their favorite heroes.
Chloe Bennet (Daisy/Quake), Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May), Iain De Caesteker (Fitz), Elizabeth Henstridge (Simmons), Henry Simmons (Mack), Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Yo-Yo), as well as executive producers and showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, and Jeffrey Bell, were warmly welcomed to WonderCon by a packed house filled with “S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans.
While Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson) wasn’t in attendance, the rest of the cast were excited to answer a Q&A about their favorite moments from the past 5 seasons.
The biggest question from the otherwise light-hearted panel came from a fan who inquired about how the events of Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” might affect our favorite agents.
The audience quietly leaned forward as Whedon coyly answered, “The movies blaze a path. When ‘Doctor Strange’ came out, it introduced us to magic, which gave us Ghost Rider. When [‘Guardians of the Galaxy’] came out, we were introduced to space.” Without giving too much away, Whedon continued, “We are waiting for [‘Avengers: Infinity War’] to come out so it can open a new playground for us.”
Fans will have to wait and see how the events of film affect the team when “Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters on April 27! Get tickets on Fandango now!
