There is little known about Ape Largo's history, although it is known that he was the son of a carnival strong man. Largo possessed amazing strength, to accompany his humongous body mass. He was remarkably intelligent and held degrees in Anthropology, Sociology and Ancient Religions. Along with Sydney Taine, he was co-owner of the Nightside Detective Agency. Together the two detectives solve the crimes that no others would dare touch, The cases that involve the Others, who were demon like races that avoided contact with police or politicians of the Dayside.
