More than meets the eye, Dimitri the Science Boy helps maintain a tenuous truce between The-Natural-Order-of-Things and The-Powers-That-Be.
Tragedy Strikes
Drawn to technology and a product of his time, the socially oblivious orphan Dimitri serves The-Natural-Order-of-Things. While he has difficulty unplugging, he’s analytical and seeks answers to a tragedy that propelled him into his role.
Technology To Behold
Dimitri carries a Thing-of-Order, which is a flat piece of handheld technology capable of unfolding in numerous ways, and serves many purposes. It can act as a data, communication, and locator device as well as a rover, taser, and drone.
Foes
Dimitri’s foes are yet to be revealed.
Duty-Bound Connections
As a servant of The-Natural-Order-of-Things, Dimitri is the chained apprentice to Wyn, the avatar of The-Powers-That-Be, though he would rather be doing something else. Being around Wyn has possibly changed and corrupted Dimitri. Unlike Wyn who uses magic, Dimitri barely believes in it.
While bound to Wyn by duty, Dimitri’s known affiliates are similar to Wyn’s and include mystics Clea, Dr. Stephen Strange, AKA Doctor Strange, Jericho Drumm, AKA Doctor Voodoo, and Wong. Dimitri is also apparently connected to Taneleer Tivan, AKA The Collector.
During his time in Sevalith, he and a vampire woman share a committed relationship.
A Proxy’s Story
When the Mutants hosted their third Hellfire Gala, Dimitri joined Wyn in crashing the party. While there, Dimitri remained glued to his Thing-of-Order while Wyn addressed Illyana Rasputin, AKA Magik, inquiring whether the recent proclamation that Mutants were the new gods was true. Magik confirmed it and asked them to leave on account that they weren’t invited.
Bound to the whims of The-Natural-Order-of-Things, Dimitri must accompany Wyn, avatar to The-Powers-That-Be. When Dimitri and Wyn visited the mystic Wong, Wong asked where they had been. Though Wyn replied that it was hard to remember, Dimitri provided a detailed account of their recent whereabouts. Dimitri watched Wyn gamble and lose in the city of K’un-Lun, which dragged them into a grail quest. They ended up in the ghost city of Val Mortis where it’s a crime to find a grail, but they found it anyway and were promptly locked up in a ghost prison. While in prison, Dimitri lost 20 pounds because ghosts don’t need to eat, and therefore they don’t feed their prisoners. The pair broke out and went their separate ways. While Wyn spent time at a hot spring in Jotunheim, Dimitri blew off steam in Sevalith. During his time in Sevalith, Dimitri entered a committed albeit questionable relationship with a tall vampire woman, until Wyn appeared and demanded they depart immediately as they were being summoned. Realizing he just unloaded too much information, he apologized to Wyn.
