Ellie Camacho is a young girl brought into the world by Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool, the mercenary for hire, though his presence in her life is spotty at best and when he is present, his life puts her in harm’s way. Ellie is a bright, whip-smart girl who guesses Deadpool is her father and believes he is a better man than the killer he has become.
Deadpool’s Daughter
Born from parents Deadpool and Carmelita Camacho, Eleanor “Ellie” Camacho is raised by her mother. Deadpool does not find out about her existence until Carmelita tracks him down seeking child support, to which Deadpool refuses on account of the child being too beautiful to have come from him. At a young age, her mother dies thanks to an enemy of Deadpool, and Ellie lives with S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Emily Preston and her family.
X-Gene
While Ellie’s DNA shows that she possesses the X-Gene marker and that it’s on, she is still a young girl so her mutant abilities have not manifested yet.
Close Ties and Allies
Ellie is the daughter of Deadpool, the merc with a mouth, and Carmelita Camacho. After her mother dies, Wade asks S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Emily Preston to take her in. Ellie lives with the Prestons, gaining Emily and Terry Sr. as stepparents and their son, Terry Jr., as a stepbrother. Wade comes in and out of her life, and more often than not, he puts her and the Prestons in danger.
Enemies
Since Ellie is a young child, she doesn’t have many enemies. Though the enemies she does have are thanks to her biological father, Deadpool. Bartol Utler, AKA Butler, kidnaps Ellie and her mother to have leverage over Deadpool. Other enemies include U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. soldiers, Madcap, and Tasmanian.
A Traumatic Tale
When Carmelita and Eleanor are kidnapped by Butler—a villain who led a program Deadpool participated in and then quit—Deadpool tried to track them down to North Korea and found Carmelita dead. Butler gave Eleanor to his brother, Joshua, who raises Ellie as his daughter, an event that Deadpool’s friend and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Emily Preston saw in a vision. Preston tracked Ellie down to Joshua’s home in Illinois and approached Ellie. Joshua intervened and she announced herself as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent investigating a missing person, but Joshua wasn’t having it and demanded she get a warrant. Ellie asked Joshua what the woman wanted but he changed the subject and told her to pack a bag, and that they’d be leaving. Before they could get her bag packed, a team of U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. agents surrounded them.
They managed to escape only to be surrounded by them again, but this time one of them was in disguise as Deadpool. Joshua suffered a heart attack at the same time, and when Deadpool fled with Ellie, he shot his handgun in the air to alert the police and aid Joshua. Ellie preceded to ask Deadpool if he was her father as they attempted their escape.
Cornered by U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. agents with the Flag-Smasher, Deadpool and Ellie were in hot water, so Deadpool threw Ellie out a nearby window. Though, Evan Sabahnur, AKA Genesis, caught her just in time having received a message for help from Deadpool earlier. He enlisted Quentin Quire, AKA Kid Omega’s help to convince a coroner that Ellie died and then asked Emily to take Ellie in. Ellie agreed and in joining Emily’s family, she gained a stepfather and stepbrother, Terry Sr. and Terry Jr.
Later, another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Scott Adsit, had a vision that revealed Ellie had an X-Gene, which is why Butler captured both Carmelita and Ellie in the first place. It wasn’t long before U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. went after Ellie again and attacked her home, but Michael the Necromancer helped Ellie and the Prestons survive. Deadpool retaliated against U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M., killing them all, then gave up being a mercenary. Celebrating his new life, an Incursion occurred, where Earth-616 and Earth-1610 collided and destroyed one another.
After the Multiverse was restored with its inhabitants, Ellie and the Preston Family included, Deadpool’s popularity increased. Feeling that his newfound fame put them in danger, the Preston family with Ellie moved to Arizona under witness protection. Though they reentered Deadpool’s life when his semi-trusted employee, Madcap, impersonated him. While talking to Ellie, shots fired in her direction but Deadpool’s ally Pietro Maximoff, AKA Quicksilver, quickly saved her. Madcap’s revenge ultimately led to the Prestons and Ellie becoming infected with a virus. Deadpool turned to Stryfe for a cure but it came at a cost, to save Prestons and Ellie, he’d have to take four lives at some point. Agreeing to the terms, Deadpool delivered to cure to the Prestons and he was able to reverse their condition.
After Deadpool became a Hydra operative, he kidnapped Ellie from the Prestons and they lived together in Washington, D.C. Though he neglected her during this period, which resulted in Ellie having issues at school. Ellie eventually learned that Deadpool had killed Emily Preston, so she escaped him with the rest of the Prestons.
While on a class field trip, Ellie ran into Deadpool, though he didn’t remember her as he had mindwiped himself to forget/protect her. She followed him and tried to prevent him from killing a target, only to have him send her away from his mission. Catching up with him later, she tried to convince him that he didn’t have to go through with it. He disagreed and when push came to shove, he had to fight off some bad guys so Ellie hung onto him and clandestinely removed the bullets from his gun, so that when he shot at his target, he didn’t have the ammo, preventing him from killing his target.
Ellie then saw Deadpool post-battle on the news and teared up at the sight of him defeated. The next time Ellie saw her father was when Tasmanian was about to recruit Ellie to train her as a hero, but Deadpool jumped out of a portal and defeated him. He hugged her and departed. Little did she know, he was protecting her from a plot by the Jack Hammer, AKA Weasel, and Mephisto to turn her into Mephisto’s soul collector, a job he ended up taking in her place. Deadpool asked Mephisto to wipe his memory again, despite Ellie’s opposition to the idea.
