An actor with a huge ego, Powers got his big break on Broadway as the leading character in the re-make of "Cyrano de Bergerac." His performance was jeered off by the audience and the critics gave out harsh reviews, resulting in him being fired after one show. To improve himself, he took many lessons in fencing and acrobatics and not in acting. He eventually found a job on a children's television show where people would throw pies at him.
Tired of the ridicule he had to stand at his job, he contacted the Tinkerer to make him a bunch of trinkets to use for his crimes. He has encountered Daredevil many times.
