Powerhouse is a mutant extremist that appeared on the scene of X-Man Henry McCoy's lecture on genetics and delivered her own message on anti-human affairs. The anti-mutant activist Masterblaster, was also present at the lecture and he stated his anti-mutant opinion by attacking McCoy too. Powerhouse quickly turned her attention and frustration onto the humans present at the lecture. It appeared that both individuals were acting independently of one another. The overzealous tandem was defeated by Spider-Man and the Beast. Powerhouse later appeared on the news, in the vicinity of the United Nation building creating mass hysteria, her outrageous exploits was witnessed by a drunken Warbird and Wolverine, who arrived on the scene and defeated the enraged mutant. Powerhouse and Masterblaster joined forces sometime later to rob a bank, but their plan was foiled by Spider-Man once again, resulting in both criminals being incarcerated.
