Connections and Combatants

Raised by his mother Luyu, Red Wolf learns to never seek out a fight, but fighting becomes necessary should violence come to him. He grows up to defend his people and act as a water protector, going so far as blowing up a dam that diverted the river away from Cheyenne access. Sheriff Steve Rogers of the nearby town of Timely comes to his aid when townspeople in service of Mayor Wilson Fisk string him up to die. Rogers saves Red Wolf’s life again at his own peril. Red Wolf teams up with Natasha Barnes and Bruce Banner to take down the corrupt leaders of timely and destroy the dam.

The time-traveler known as Surveyor displaces Red Wolf in time. Despite being out of his element, Red Wolf uses it to his advantage and becomes acquainted with the local authorities and helps them solve crimes. He joins Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye, against Morris Bench, AKA Hydro-Man, and becomes a member of the Underground against the subversive organization Hydra.

A Tale Through Time

After the Multiverse was destroyed, the massive, patchwork planet Battleworld contained fragments of worlds that no longer existed and was run by its god and master, Victor von Doom, AKA Doctor Doom. Each of Battleworld’s regions is a domain unto itself, including the Valley of Doom, home to the town of Timely. The Valley was not hospitable for Red Wolf and his people, especially after Governor Roxxon built a dam to divert the river for his mining operation. It made crossing the desert from the native territories difficult. The Cheyenne warrior Red Wolf and his fellow tribesman planned to blow up the dam but he gets attacked by a group of men loyal to Mayor Wilson Fisk, who strung him up to a tree to kill him. But the town’s sheriff, Steven Rogers, intervened and saved Red Wolf. Rogers escorted him to a jail cell in town, where he defended himself to Rogers, stating truthfully that the dam robbed his people of water. Later, Rogers left the jail to intervene in other crimes being committed but it was a distraction planned by Fisk, so that Fisk’s man Turk Barrett could kill Red Wolf. Red Wolf defended himself and ended up shooting Turk with his own weapon.

Rogers promised Red Wolf a fair trial for his attempt at blowing up the dam. Rogers was killed for his efforts in an ambush where in saving Red Wolf’s live, he was shot and killed by Bullseye. Widow Natasha Barnes hid Red Wolf, while munitions-maker Tony Stark began to build. Red Wolf allied with Barnes and Bruce Banner to go up against Timely’s corrupt leaders. While Red Wolf would take on Mayor Fisk, Barnes and Banner would destroy the dam, returning water to Red Wolf’s people. Red Wolf tracked him down and discovered that Bullseye was part of Fisk’s plot to murder Rogers. When Red Wolf found himself cornered by the town’s leaders, he shot Bullseye in the head. Fisk put a price on Red Wolf’s head but the townspeople opposed him. Red Wolf disabled Fisk, but chose to jail him instead of the alternative. But that didn’t stop Barnes from taking him out after she and Banner destroyed the dam. Afterward, Carol Danvers was voted in as Mayor and Red Wolf as Timely’s sheriff.

Red Wolf later investigated two dead townspeople who looked to be struck by lightning. A young man, Alex, joined him to learn tracking skills after his father pushed him to do so. While they searched for the culprit, they separated. Red Wolf came upon a wolf cub and their dead mother, and rescuing the pup, he returned to Alex who had been killed in the same way as the townspeople. He takes Alex’s body to his mother to have her check the wounds, though he was followed by angry townspeople. Suddenly the Surveyor, a time-traveler who could fire lighting from a device, displaced Red Wolf through time. Red Wolf ended up in 2015 on Earth-616. There, he met Sheriff Knight and Deputy Daniela Ortiz who thought him a vagrant needing social services. He assisted them with a case and reported his experience with the Surveyor. He later teamed up with Avenger Hawkeye against the company Oasis Spring Water who were harvesting Sweet Medicine Indian Reservation’s water. They battled and lost to Hydro-Man but Silas Fireheart assisted them in defeating the villain, allowing Red Wolf and Hawkeye to notify the local authorities about the issue.
