Shaddo was a mutant of a far future reality known as the 31st Century, or Earth-691, and was also a member of a very powerful mutant group known as the Nine, which operated on the former planet of Haven under the command of Rancor a suspected decent of the legendary mutant Wolverine. Shaddo and her comrades were at odds with the Guardians of the Galaxy and the villainous Doctor Doom, although they made an uneasy alliance with Doom, while searching for the claw of Wolverine.
