Verg was the first person at "Lunatic Larry's" to encounter Lady Deadpool who was on an undercover mission for the Deadpool Corps to infiltrate the ranks of the cosmic pirate known as the Blue Buccaneer. Verg told Lady Deadpool that he had been coming to Larry's for months trying to join up with the Buccaneer, and in order for her to do the same, she would have to do something very impressive to catch the Buccaneer's attention. Lady Deadpool quickly responded by blasting Verg's head off.
