First Appearance

In Thor (1966) #282

In their comics debut, the Time-Keepers are introduced through a flashback of Immortus, a future variant of Kang the Conqueror. Appointed by a “trinity of beings spawned at this time cycle’s end,” Immortus relays to Thor that he has been trained by the Time-Keepers to untangle the anomalies that Kang has caused across millennia.

The Time-Twisters

In Thor (1966) #243

The Time-Keepers are the creation of He Who Remains, the last director of the Time Variance Authority. Unfortunately, the three entities that initially hatched from He Who Remains’ nurture pods were flawed. Dubbed the Time-Twisters, these chaos-seekers travel backwards through time to uncover the origins of the universe, heedless of each era through which they pass.

The Fall of Chronopolis

In Avengers: The Terminatrix Objective (1993) #3

After Kang’s kingdom of Chronopolis is usurped by Ravonna Renslayer, AKA Terminatrix, the Time-Keepers face indecision over reviving Kang in order to secure their realm of influence. Or else risk “chrono-synclastic entropy”...

Defenders of Spacetime

In Avengers Forever (1998) #1

Read this entire 12-issue run for the Time-Keepers’ cross-time conflict against Avengers of the past, present, and future! To prevent humanity from wielding the “Destiny Force,” the Time-Keepers task Immortus with maintaining a close watch over the Avengers and all of Earth... before a disastrous intergalactic war breaks out.

A Definitive Origin

In Avengers Forever (1998) #10

During their trial for the time-tossed Avengers, the Time-Keepers share their disdain and horror for humanity, yet still tell Earth’s Mightiest Heroes how they came to be. Surprisingly, Immortus defends the super-team, but the Keepers remain unconvinced of humankind’s penchant for good.

Oracle of Siwa

In 4 (2004) #16

Read through issue #18! When Ramades—the son of another Kang incarnation, Rama-Tut—banished the Fantastic Four to ancient Egypt, Mister Fantastic recalled a legend that unveiled a fourth Time-Keeper. This exiled prophet, the Oracle of Siwa, is the apparent last Time-Keeper who warned Kang of a timeline convergence that would bring only destruction.
