The Global Reaction Agency for Mysterious Paranormal Activity, affectionately named G.R.A.M.P.A., has clearance to operate in virtually every country in the world. Their field operatives deal with threats ranging from rogue super-humans, would-be world conquerors and even interstellar invaders. Two agents, One-Eyed Jacquie and Ace, fought side by side with Henry Pym and his Avengers against the menace of Titan, and after achieving victory they offered to deputize his team to escape persecution from Norman Osborn.
Soon after, G.R.A.M.P.A. assigned USAgent and Quicksilver to a mission in Tibet where another global menace was making a rise to power. Their agent, Ban-Luck, would give the assist against the Unspoken. This former king of the Inhumans would prove to be too much for any one team to handle alone, as the People's Defense Force (China) discovered. Several other Avengers from varying groups would be called in to contend with the Unspoken and eventually, the battle was won in their favor.
The organization was impressed with Pym's team initially – especially with the defeats over Chthon, Swarm and A.I.M. – but their loyalty began to falter while Pym's Avengers were off-world helping the Inhumans against Devos. Pym further degraded his team's standing when he challenged Osborn on American soil – out of G.R.A.M.P.A.'S jurisdiction – when engaging the Absorbing Man. Osborn saved the day, and because of it the rest of the country backed him when he decided to take on the gods of Asgard. For these transgressions, G.R.A.M.P.A. put an end to their association with Pym's Avengers.
Ace and One-Eyed Jacquie would find the decision couldn't have come at a worse time for Pym was busy dealing with a complex issue with Jocasta, and Pym's deadliest creation, Ultron, had returned. The heroes were trapped in the Infinite Avengers Mansion and in their ignorance of Pym's design of his lab, Jacquie and Ace opened a door leading to Underspace – a place where Thor sent Pym's wife, the original Wasp.
