Meet Luna Snow, K-Pop Sensation Turned Icy Super Hero
Learn all about ‘Marvel Rivals' favorite Luna Snow, from her biggest moments as a pop superstar to her time on Tiger Division.
K-pop is all the rage in the Marvel Universe. It just so happens that on Earth-616, the biggest K-pop star is also a super hero: Luna Snow. When she’s not on stage, Luna protects the world as one of South Korea’s greatest super heroes, working as both a solo act and as part of a team.
Luna Snow also has a particularly unique origin: she was created as an original character for a video game. Here is everything you need to know about Luna Snow, from her video game origins to her most prominent comic book appearances throughout the Marvel Universe.

LUNA SNOW'S VIDEO GAME ORIGINS
Unlike many characters in the Marvel Universe, Luna Snow’s first appearance wasn’t in a comic book, movie, or television show, but rather in the popular video game MARVEL FUTURE FIGHT.
The game established Luna’s backstory and powers when she joined the roster in January 2018 alongside several original K-pop singles to launch the character to the world stage. Following her success as a playable character, Luna Snow joined Marvel’s comic book universe the subsequent year.
Luna has remained a fixture in Marvel Games since MARVEL FUTURE FIGHT and her comic book debut. She received her own card in MARVEL SNAP and made a memorable appearance in MARVEL PUZZLE QUEST.
As a testament to Luna Snow’s rising stardom, she was among the heroes available at launch for the enormously popular game, MARVEL RIVALS. Filling a vital role as a Strategist, Luna Snow plays a crucial part on any team that she finds herself in.

WHO IS LUNA SNOW?
After losing her parents in an accident at an early age, Seol Hee was raised by her grandmother. She later decided to start a pop music career to support her family, forming the K-pop girl group 4L1T, with Min Jee, Jin Soo, and Hae Wo. As a pop star, Seol took on the stage name Luna, which stuck as she and her ensemble found global success.
While performing at a concert in Stark Arena, A.I.M. attacked the event and Luna got caught in the blast of an advanced cold fusion reactor designed by Tony Stark. This accident gave Luna cryogenic powers. Combining her newfound abilities with her stage persona, Seol Hee became the hero known as Luna Snow in FUTURE FIGHT FIRSTS: LUNA SNOW (2019) #1.
As a super hero, Luna worked closely with the South Korean government as part of their official government sanctioned team, Tiger Division. She also joined the Agents of Atlas to tackle threats beyond South Korea as a vital hero in the Marvel Universe.

LUNA SNOW'S POWERS AND ABILITIES
Luna’s cryogenic powers allow her to generate and control two different kinds of ice, dark ice and light ice, each with vastly different properties.
Luna’s dark ice behaves more destructively, damaging those frozen within it. The dark ice can also wither away organic matter and drain energy. Functioning in the complete opposite manner, Luna’s light ice heals anyone frozen inside it. She channels both ice types to create ice projectiles and can even generate entire blizzards with them.
In addition to her powers, Luna trained in basic hand-to-hand combat through her work for the South Korean National Intelligence Service. The organization also provided Luna with cutting-edge gear and vehicles when she needed them.

LUNA SNOW’S COMIC BOOK DEBUT
Luna Snow's first comic book adventure brought her right into action, with the fate of the Marvel Universe hanging in the balance. When Malekith the Accursed besieged the Ten Realms in WAR OF THE REALMS (2019), the Fire Demons of Muspelheim targeted East Asia as part of his invasion strategy.
Joined by fellow South Korean super heroes Crescent and White Fox, Luna Snow defended the region from these otherworldly monsters. Introduced in WAR OF THE REALMS: NEW AGENTS OF ATLAS (2019) #1, Luna Snow and her teammates showcased their powers as they joined the fantastical battle.
When the fiery demigod Sindr overwhelmed and captured Luna, the Agents of Atlas came to her rescue and repelled the attempted invasion of the Asian continent. Back in action, Luna joined the Agents of Atlas to prevent Sindr from melting the polar ice caps and overwhelming the planet with rising tides.
After the Agents of Atlas succeed in thwarting Malekith's forces during an epic showdown at the Great Wall of China, Luna formally joined the team and assisted with their rebuilding efforts across the continent.

LUNA SNOW’S MOST MEMORABLE APPEARANCES
In the aftermath of WAR OF THE REALMS (2019), Luna struck up a young romance with fellow Agent of Atlas Amadeus Cho. Their relationship embarrassingly leaked to the public in AGENTS OF ATLAS (2019) #2.
After defending the world from fiery foes, Luna and her teammates protected it from watery enemies in ATLANTIS ATTACKS (2020). When unscrupulous tycoon Mike Nguyen stole Atlantis’ guardian dragon for his business, Namor retaliated and launched an attack on the surface world. Luna and the Agents of Atlas defused the crisis before the entire world drowned under its weight.
Outside of her work with teams, Luna befriended Silk, collaboarted with the web-slinging hero to stop a super villain who used social media to target popular influencers in SILK (2022) #2. A musical sensation turned powerful super hero, Luna Snow has become a fan-favorite hero. Be it comic books or video games, Luna vanquishes her enemies with style as cold as ice.
